Enjoyed a meal with friends at Bella Mia on a Friday evening. Fortunately we were able to sit outside as even in late October the weather was dry and warm. We all had pizza’s of different varieties, which were freshly made and cooked in a real flame pizza oven. We also had a starter of garlic bread which served all six of us. The pizzas were light and full of flavour. Would recommend booking in advance if you wish to ensure seating inside as there aren’t many tables, you can sit at the chefs bar and eat but really this would only suit couples. The service was good and the food was quickly provided. There is also a cocktail bar at the rear of the restaurant which looks very atmospheric within a brick arched ceiling and music. The only niggle was the automatic inclusion of a service charge which is optional but as it has already been added to the bill, you do feel obligated to pay it, personally we didn’t appreciate that as we felt that a service charge should be an optional add-on when you pay, not an optional removal. The pizza prices ranged from £13 for a Margarita but generally the pizzas cost about £15 to £18, other Italian...

Atmosphere was super loud with loud music playing, only way you could talk to people around your table was to shout.

1 out of 4 of our drinks had been forgot about and we had to asked 3 TIMES for the drink, for them to come to the table to say "oh sorry we're out of stock"

The only larger, the ONLY ONE THEY had on tap ran out. So you had to spend £5 for a tiny can of Larger that you would get 2 big drinks out of (£5 is also there cheapest drink!)

The starters were ok at best, The bruschetta is not true Italian (coming from someone who live in Italy for 3 years)

The mains (Pizzas) the dough was completely soggy and covered in grease, making it impossible to pick up the slices without it falling apart. It also took 45 minutes to get our mains

During our time eating, the waitress come up to our table telling us we had 15 minutes left before we had to leave because they had another group coming. Taking our plates before all of us had even finished eating.

all in all, I would never ever recommend this place to anyone, especially for the price you are...

Me and my wife rarely get to go out on our own but had a rare night together with no kids. We didn’t know where to go and was recommended Bella Mia by a friend, and wow am I glad. The service was incredible, such polite and nice staff who couldn’t do enough to cater for us (I hope management know what good staff they have). The food is freshly prepared in front of you and came out super quick, and by far the best pizza we’ve ever had. The cocktails were on point and again along some of the best we’ve had. The building is beautiful and we loved the bar out back. Whoever owns this place has clearly put their heart and soul into it and it really shows. To be honest we were counting pennies being on a budget but when the bill came it was very reasonable and we even then chose to have puddings after. OMG. Absolute heaven. Made me wish we didn’t have kids so we could go back there all the time. We absolutely will be making a point of returning and wouldn’t go anywhere else. I’d give 10 stars if I...

I visited with a friend and we both ordered pizzas and a soft drink, the pizza was lovely with fresh tasting ingredients. Staff were attentive and friendly, we had pre-booked and I’d recommend doing so as this area gets quite busy particularly at the weekend. My only negative point is the volume of the music, however this is definitely personal preference and the other member of my party has difficulties hearing (not that you’re talking when tucking into a delicious pizza anyway!), but we’d have preferred the music just ticked down a couple of notches so we could catch up properly. It wouldn’t put us off visiting again by any means, but if you do want a good catch up I recommend trying to be seated outside.

Took part in a pizza making master class led by Jamie. WOW! It certainly was a master class. You get to practice the dough part until it was perfected learning all the science bits about it as you go. Lots of choice for the toppings including BBQ sauce for the heathens ;) Don’t forget to ask for the smoked mozzarella because it’s banging! The cocktails at Green Door which is the Bella Mia bar are perfect. Whatever it is that tickles your taste buds- sweet, sour, smoky - they have it all. The Quay Lime Pie, The Smoky Sunset & Just to Clarify were our top 3. Thanks everyone at Bella Mia & Green Door for making my birthday the best!
