¡Tacos increíbles en Gloucester! 🌮 One of my absolute favourite ways to enjoy a meal out is having a table of small plates, it's such a great way to try multiple flavours and adds to the experience 😋 So visiting this taco restaurant in Gloucester has been on my list for a while and it did not disappoint!! Tacos are normally a side option on many menus but here they are the main dish and you can see and taste the thought that has gone into making each of these dishes. Each of them were packed full of flavour and they had options for all preferences! Shout out to the churros as well, normally I find churros can be overly 'doughy' but these had a decent crunch 👌🏽 #foodlover #foodblogger #foodtok #foodie #foodporn #tacos #gloucester

Visited for lunch today with a friend. We ordered a couple of drinks, the pilsner was unavailable so was offered an alternative which was sufficient. I felt the service was a little lacklustre, we were seated by the waitress and it took a long time for our food/drinks order to be taken which felt odd considering the venue was empty, I started scanning the menu to check if we are meant to order at the bar. I ordered the beef birria taco and my friend the pulled pork, with a starter of (sorry can’t remember the name) but it was a sweetcorn/cream cheese dip with tortilla chips (was quite yummy!). The tacos arrived, they weren’t very hot, but I put this down to the toppings being quite cold, the birria tacos weren’t quite what I was expecting but tasted nice, the beef was quite chewy however. I tasted my friends pulled pork and the tacos tasted almost identical other than hers having something a little sweeter in it. I’d order the pork if I visited again. For a lunch the portion sizes were perfectly fine with the starter we shared, but I wasn’t blown away. I’m glad we tried it but likely won’t revisit. The bill was around £35 for the tacos, one starter, a beer and a Diet Coke and I think there’s better alternatives available in nearby restaurants.

Came here for an early Valentine’s Day dinner with my wife on the Friday night before Valentine’s. Atmosphere was good, however after being sat we did wait about 15-20min before our server came to take drink orders. We got a Paloma and a Margarita with tequila instead of Mezcal. Drinks were disappointing but still drinkable, they didn’t have much flavor and the Paloma is stated to have normal tequila on the menu but they served it with Mezcal, which is very much an acquired taste as it’s extremely smoky. My wife had to drink my margarita and I drank the Paloma since she doesn’t like Mezcal.

Food took about an hour to arrive after ordering, despite us ordering two appetizers which was the elote and salsa trio, which I’d imagine is already prepped and should’ve come out earlier than our main course. However, once the food did arrive, it was all very good. For the main course, we had the potatoes, tuna tostadas, beef birria quesadilla, pork carnitas, and the cod cheek tacos. Beef birria quesadilla and the cod cheek was probably our favorite, both very tasty. Carnitas were our least favorite, but still very good. The elote and salsa trio also really enjoyable, and nice to have salsa for our tacos.

All in all it was a very tasty dinner, but really disappointing service and drinks. I would’ve ordered a beer before finishing our food but our server never returned until the food was done. We also would’ve ordered the churros as they looked good, but didn’t want to wait 30+ minutes for dessert and were ready to go home after a total of over 2hrs at this restaurant, most of which was spent waiting. I understand it was a Friday night and the restaurant appeared somewhat busy, but frankly I don’t think waiting an hour for food to arrive is acceptable, especially at what’s supposed to be a...

The Cost of Caution: When 'Safety First' Means 'No Service'

In the 22 years that my wife and I have been together, we have dined at a good many restaurants, both here in the UK and abroad. We have always been upfront when entering these establishments, informing them of my wife's unique allergy, called silver birch allergy. While we've sometimes required special accommodations, we've never been turned away until today.

I fully appreciate a restaurant's need to avoid serious allergic reactions, but as a hospitality business, a reasonable effort should be made to accommodate guests. We were politely turned away due to a fear of cross-contamination, which was disappointing. Most kitchens are capable of taking standard precautions to prevent this, such as using separate utensils and preparation surfaces.

For future reference, I would highly recommend that your team explores solutions to safely accommodate guests with allergies. This could include training your staff to properly handle special requests, as well as providing a waiver for guests to sign, acknowledging that they are comfortable dining at your restaurant after you have made every effort to ensure their safety.

We hope you will consider these suggestions so that others with allergies can enjoy your restaurant in the future. *The restaurant in question was the at the...
