Julius Caesar Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Gravesham

I ate at Caesar’s last Saturday, with my partner and cousin, and her husband. I’d booked 10 days in advance because my cousin is disabled, and uses a small scooter. I wanted to make sure we were given a suitable table, with easy access. On arrival, we had to wait outside for ten minutes while the ramp was found. After which, we were shown to a cramped table at the back of the restaurant. It wasn’t immediately obvious to me that we had been placed on the furthest table from the toilet. Thereby, making it virtually impossible for my cousin to use the facilities. But things got worse. After we’d waited 50 mins for our food, my cousin, Ann beckoned the manageress. Totally ignoring Ann, the manageress very rudely spoke directly to me. After our meal, which was fine, I raised this with manageress. I hoped for some kind of apology, instead I got an agi, defensive response, tellingly me that I should have booked earlier in advance! So,...

I can honestly say I cant wait to go back again. One its stunning design and has joyful atmosphere. The price is bang on good value but wow the food was top notch authentic Italian. But the staff were just super friendly and helpful. Couldn’t of asked for more.

I had a spaghetti dish and it was just perfect, al dente but on the softer side. The sauce was so creamy and silky and so well flavoured. The chicken was perfect and the flavour punch was amazing. The chrizo wasnt like any other I have had it was just so gorgeous. I had to treat myself to a desert, great choices but the tiramisu took my fancy as it always seems to. It was heaven on a slate, so fluffy, so fresh and so creamy. It was beyond what I have had in england of an Italian, it is up there with the best I have tried. Ate here 20th Sep 2025. The special was a breaded chicken breast with a blue cheese sauce in the middle.

As I started to get to the middle of the meat I found it was raw in the middle. Unacceptable in a restaurant due to food poisoning.

The staff apologised and made another for me. By the time that arrived the rest of my party had finished eating.

The second one was also raw in the middle.

When I told them this could give me food poisoning I was assured it wouldn't as "the meat is fresh". That is not relevant with chicken due to salmonella!

Ordered a pizza instead. That had raw dough in the middle section. Not a health issue so I just ate around the outside.

We were offered free drinks as an apology but they tried to charge me for my pizza meal (the 3rd order).
