We had breakfast here after coming across on the Tilbury ferry. We always eat here when we come to Gravesend. The food is always very well presented and tasty. A very good selection of choices. The staff are all very friendly. Very easy to order the food whilst sat at your table using the Weatherspoons app. The Robert Pocock has plenty of seating both up and down stairs. We prefer to sit upstairs as the seating is set out in a way that is more private to sit at. The stairs are very steep, so not suitable for the elderly or very young children. The toilets are situated upstairs so that could cause a problem if there are mobility issues. The toilets are always very clean and well maintained. It is a very lovely place to visit and very popular. You are always guaranteed a tasty, well presented and reasonably priced meal, served by friendly staff 😊

Pub is in a prime location in the high street and was exceptionally busy when we arrived around 1130 on Saturday morning. We struggled to find anywhere to sit but jumped on a vacated table for 4 that was full of plates & glasses. It took over an hour to be cleared but the 2 members of staff were flat out. Prices were typical for Spoons. Not a great atmosphere here. It's a real blokes pub with few families or females. A very mixed culture pub that can get quite loud at times. Number 92 for us & not one we would rush back to.

Good standard spoons with food and drink offers inc specials, clean and tidy with helpfull staff, nice place to stop and visit One of those bad designs however, lower level has tables to sit at but stairs to half level and no ramp but disabled toilet so out of pub round the city centre and in back door, then you challenge the mobility scooter blocking you way and crowd of men on games machines who all have to move for the door to open.

Unacceptable Service and Disrespectful Treatment.

I am absolutely appalled by the experience I had during my visit to your establishment. I arrived at the till to place the remaining of my order, I did a partial order on the app and was going to order the remaining at the till as we usually make some small changes which cannot be done on the app. Only to be completely ignored by the staff at the till. I stood there for an unreasonably long time, while other customers—both men and women—were served promptly. It was as if I were invisible. This kind of blatant disregard for a paying customer is absolutely unacceptable.

To make matters worse, I tried to address my concerns with the manager, only to be met with a dismissive, sarcastic comment. The manager’s response suggested that they had been aware of my presence and the other were there before me, but I can assure you, that was not the case. I would strongly encourage you to review the CCTV footage to confirm this, as I was ignored entirely.

This level of unprofessionalism is beyond disappointing, especially considering I have been a loyal customer who regularly visits with my husband and son. After this I decide not to order the remaining of our food at the till. I can no longer support an establishment that treats its customers with such disdain. The service has clearly gone downhill, and the place is now sinking, with filthy tables, rude staff, and a manager who seems to have little regard for customer satisfaction.

I will not be returning, and I would advise your team to undergo some serious customer service training. It’s a shame to see what was once a good establishment fall so far. You have lost my business, and I will make sure to share this experience with others.

This is no longer a place I would ever consider stepping...

Terrible service and food I’ve been to the pocock for food a few times over the years and it’s al ways been ok. Yesterday we visited as a family and I’ve got to say the food was awful. Badly presented. I ordered lasagna and god a massive plate with a small microwaved piece of lasagna on the side of the plate!!! Nothing else!!! I engaged with 2 members of staff who were both quite unfriendly and unwelcoming. The service was shocking. Some basic health and safety issues need to be addressed. The gormless waiter even passed a boiling hot plate to a child. He must have known it was hot as he had an oven glove on!!!! No warning. I mentioned it to him and he just stared at me with no response. Completely shocked me. Most of the many tables were sticky and full of empty plates. I was given the wrong order and told, quite abruptly, by the other rude member of staff that’s what I’d ordered! The table behind said it was theirs and she just took it back and gave it to them with no acknowledgment of her rudeness. The whole place looked very messy and tired. I probably will find myself a new establishment. Such a shame coz it’s used to be a lovely place to get...
