Visited once and I can see the appeal of having an ice cream parlour very close to the sea side. When we visited, the queue was outside the door and they didn't have a menu outside of what flavours they offer so there was a bit of a wait. Once inside, it has the same appeal as a sweet shop that has hard boiled sweets etc. and they just happen to also offer ice cream. Service was okay, they offer a huge variety of toppings and flavours etc so it can take a while to get through folk. But tbh adding toppings can ruin or be overwhelming so didn't go for it. Their ice cream was okay, it was creamy, good variety. However for the price point, there are many other places to go for ice cream. It's worth visiting if you're in the area as you can make a day of your visit but it's not worth driving down to Stoney just to get ice cream.

I’m afraid to say this place was mediocre. First the price was £4 for a scoop, £5.5 for 2 scoops. Toppings were ‘complimentary’, which means you’re paying for it anyways. HOWEVER, the toppings were EXCEPTIONALLY DISGUSTING.. seriously. Maybe nice for ‘Instagram’, but they were inedible, tasted cheap and nasty, especially the chocolate toppings. Gross. Nuts were alright, we didn’t try ‘sweets’ as toppings. We ordered Scottish tablet and espresso, both were really just ok, the cone was not bad. Overall, we seriously doubt people queue up only for the picture rather than for quality ice cream. If you’re serious about good ice cream, I’d say mackies in supermarket is better than this place.

The prices have gone up a crazy amount however the quality has gone down. We’ve been visiting Aunty Betty’s since we were children and have always enjoyed the whole experience. However oh this occasion the ice cream we got was already melting, the worker got ice cream all the side of the tub, didn’t attempt to clean it up and didn’t offer us any sides. Melted ice cream which we didn’t manage to eat half of because it was a muddle in our hands for £7! Not only was all this bad enough, the ice cream had those ice crystals in them that means it has been stored probably or that it’s been meted and then re-frozen. The price increase is clearly to cover the cost of that extra door and all the fancy decorations they have put in but nothing to to enchanted the customer experience. £7 for melted ice crystals with no toppings, that’s what you’re...
