Stonehaven Beach — Attraction in Great Britain

This is a well known, well loved part of Aberdeenshire. Lovely little place which can get very busy during warmer weather. Aside from the charming harbour and boats there are activities available such as boat trips, paddle boarding and sauna. Cafes, pubs and restaurants all available but again are sometimes busy and worth pre booking. Hotels and apartments are available with some sea views. There is a local museum and toilets on site. Parking available along the harbour and around around the corner which can be busy. Not very obvious but look out for signs. This area is walkable from the centre of Stonehaven where there are also plenty of food places and shops. Dunotter castle and the monument are also walkable if you are fit enough or are a five minute drive from here. Dog friendly area - I would suggest walking from the harbour along the beach to the caravan site area for some fim chips, ice-cream and even a bit of soft play with the kids. You can walk right from the harbour to Cowie wildlife viewpoint (about 1 mile). The boardwalk will take you half way as you pass the quirky marine sculptures and a seating area with picnic tables. Further along you will pass the flood protection work that is ongoing and then onto a concrete path that takes you the rest of the way. Before you reach the Cowie view point you can stop at the lovely sea front eateries. The beach is easily accessible and don't forget your binoculars as the are sea birds to view and a bench to rest on as you do so. I heard of its amazing scenery before. Got the chance to explore the place this time and felt it's truly like heaven to me when I came here to sense the magic of Stonehaven. The beautiful view accompanied with the nice weather is really a gift from god I suppose. Lots of people brought their kids and pets here and had tons of fun.
