Billy's Fish Bar — Restaurant in Great Britain

I was a regular at Billy's many years back. I live nearby some amazing chippys - gypsy lane, blue chippy and grewals, so I've never given it much thought or gone out of my way to go to Billy's again up until recently.

It was an ordinary Tues evening, the sun was shining, and I was passing the area and having a chippy night with friends. They all love a chicken kebab and paneer kebab. So I purchased these along with a small chips for under £15. Great value!

The chips were amongst the best you'll find anywhere. Chunky, tasty, just slightly oily and doused in delicious chilli powder, salt and vinegar. The kebab/wraps were much, much nicer than the Blue chippy ones and even better value for money. The paneer is soft, tasty, plentiful and lots of salads and sauces filled the naan.

I instantly knew that this place is and always has been a gem. There was a queue of about 15 people by the time I left. Not bad at all for a Tues evening at 7pm! Enjoy the pics and get them kebabs! You won't regret it one bit. The best chippy in Leicester consistently for many years....

After getting recommendations from a neighbour I had to try this place for myself and I am SO glad that I did!

The place is buzzing, with large open plan kitchen, the staff are well presented, polite and extremely efficient.

Order two lamb doner kebabs and a portion of chips to takeaway and this is when the magic happens….

The naan bread is cooked fresh before yours eyes before it’s filled to capacity with the most delicious, tender and juicy lamb doner I have ever experienced in my life. The salad is fresh and plentiful and chilli sauce was on point.

The chip portion was massive and they are the best chippy chips EVER!!!!

Definitely coming to visit again although may need one to share and these...

today was the first time buying fish and chips from this place so let start i went inside they were about three people infront of me so waited the girl at the counter served those three people and carried on working she did not even made eye contact so i waited then someone else came in behind me so she ask him before me so i waited then went up to her and asked her if she did not see me standing there she no anwser , anyways i bought fish and chips came home opened it and oh my god the fish was mega oily see pictures and you could squeeze the oil out of the fish and the fish has that ocean smell when eating so eat abit cause i was mega hungry and threw the rest away never go again to the place sorry if i have upset anyone...
