Absolutely baffled at the amount of great reviews for this place 😦

Waited an hour for a table since they don’t take bookings. If you’re that busy just accept bookings? Seems like a simple solution

Sat down at the table and got our menus. 2 tacos for £14. It used to be 3 tacos for £12. I don’t care if the tacos have gold in them there is no way £7 per taco is ever a justifiable price ESPECIALLY when they used to be £4 per taco. U shady little critters!

On top of that, they’re out of chicken and potatoes 🙂

Tacos come about 20 minutes after ordering and sure, they’re pretty generously packed but it’s still £7 PER TACO!!! The tacos were pretty tasty but the lamb birria was overly salty and they were pretty spicy which I don’t mind but I’m sure some Shrewsbury locals may struggle with that. (No shade)

My husband and I, along with our friends, had fantastic service from ‘Not Bobby’ as he catered to our every request and answered every question with a great sense of humor. I asked him if he was Bobby, and was told the place was named after the owner of the former nurses home. So you get a bit of a history lesson with the meal. (I love Shrewsbury!) So he’s ‘Not Bobby’.

Tom (his real name) provided fantastic service and the restaurant plated up awesome pork burritos (the special) and tacos (vegan option: haloumi). The cocktails were fantastic and the vibe of the place was hopping’. Try the Tres Leche dessert…..to.DIE.for. It was amazing!

Each taco tray comes loaded with Mexican rice and a dipping sauce, to seal the deal. And while you’re at it, don’t skip the ‘Las Papas’—crispy roast potatoes that are absolutely irresistible. If you are looking for something other than tacos the burritos looked fully loaded and we will definitely be tucking into one of these at our next visit.
