Probably one of the worst meals I've ever had in a restaurant to date.

Had the potential to be good but executed poorly.

Gutted. So wanted to love this place.

Been dying to go here for such a long time after seeing all the amazing food pics Facebook for so long.

Anywhose went for it finally as a wee wander from us in the South Side.

Ordered the Mexican cheese burger and upgraded my fries to salt and chilli.

I did mention the bun (stale in my opinion) and they did offer a replacement but nah, no thanks. Guy didn't see a problem initally and said because it's a brioche bun basically it has a tendancy to fall apart. I mean I buy brioche buns all the time or when I'm making burgers and this has never been an issue?

My son didn't enjoy his waffle very much either, again he never leaves food on his plate so it's a bad day when he does this. Some hard bits of pasta also through) from mac n cheese) ...

I'd go as far as saying if your looking for a good, tasty chicken burger meal - go for the zinger tower meal out of KFC, it blows this meal out of the water.

So yeah I'll just mention the pros and cons to summarise on our first visit (and last) unless it's just for drinks!

Pros: Staff all very nice Music right up my street (if you're into rock you'll Iove it)

Con: Flies buzzing about Stale bun / (plus wasn't toasted in the slightest) Salt & Chilli chips - soggy, no salt? (flavourless) Hard pieces of macaroni Son didn't enjoy waffle.. Expensive for...

This place is BUCKIN BRILLIANT!! My second visit, the first with my dog, rock hound Sonny, who, may I say was treated with as much care & respect as the hoomans, given water & biscuits & A LOT a lovin on arrival by Dana, the sole server, safe to say he loved it too. Friendly & attentive our whole time there, Dana seated us quickly in a very comfortable booth with plenty of space for Sonny to spread his paws and even before the food arrived she had placated my need for all things Guns n Roses by bringing me a Use Your Illusion pillow!! 🤘🏻😆 Dana then took our order & what seemed like no time at all our food arrived. We got “Classic Chicken And Waffles” & “The Big Smoke Mac Waffle” . You better ready yourself for a plate sized super soft buttery waffle, delectable non greasy, tantalisingly tasty fried chicken, the cheesiest of cheesy macaroni & Grade A Canadian maple syrup that I could drink all on it’s own. (And did when I got home!) - cos we had left over’s to go too!! Warning: portion size = HUGE. This is proper stuff people. If you love chicken. If you love rock music. If you love good service. BUCKIN GET YERSEL TAE BUCK’S BAR!!!! (Southside) Delicious, reasonably priced food in a rock lovers heaven. AAAAAND … although we didn’t partake, the JD is only 3 quid!! Cannae beat it. I’ll definitely be back. Y’all should go too!! See you there🤘🏻😎 …. (Thank you Dana for your kindness and...

Warning to Families!

Arrived around 8:20pm after travelling from the other side of Glasgow to eat here for my daughters 18th birthday family meal.

The woman behind the bar takes our drinks order 3 soft drinks, 1 milkshake and a cocktail for my daughter who's just turned 18 today. The woman asks for her ID and all's good. At 8.30pm a guy comes over who I assume is the manager, i'm expecting him to be checking my daughters ID again but no he asks if my son is under 18, the answer is yes to that and he then explains they have a licence that means kids under 18 need to be out for 9pm (recently upgraded from 8pm apparently).

The place is empty, an older couple just finishing up eating and 4 other folks sitting in the upper area plus us. It was a Thursday night, not like we were in during busy weekend trade.....

We were asked to either order, eat and be out for 9pm or have takeaway. When I said we came from the other side of Glasgow and it was my daughters birthday we were offered a 25% discount on our takeaway order, at this time of night we never had much other option than to accept.

All in all my daughters 18th birthday meal/night out was ruined.

Food was good, still warm by time we got home but the night out for her birthday was the point of us being there.

People in ordering food within kitchen open hours should be given reasonable time to...

I'm reviewing this purely as a bar as we didn't have any food. Popped in to Buck's for the first time for a post-meal drink because - despite it being round the corner from me - I'd still never got round to a visit. What I found now makes me question which local bar is my favourite. Buck's is a definite contender. I love American "dive" bars and Bucks is probably as close as you'll get to one in the neighbourhood. A proper southern shack feeling inside with wooden walls and red neon beer adverts. It was a quiet Mon night with plenty of tables but we chose to sit at the bar which meant I got a chance to chat to the bar staff, all of who were very friendly. We grabbed a couple of Kelvin pilsners for <£5 each (which is reasonable for a Drygate), sat back and listened to the acoustic music. Turned out my visit to Buck's was a nice surprise and I'll definitely be back, but I'll be trying to food next time Edit: I've now been back for food and - without sounding like Richard E Grant - it was everything I could have hoped for. Ordered the Flaming Mac n cheesed waffles and had to be rolled out I was so full. I wasn't leaving anything behind

Restaurant doesn't take food allergies seriously. Ordered a family order on deliveroo and two items were cauliflower wings, one of which is gluten free and the geniuses who packaged the meal didn't mark the gluten free ones separately. How on earth are we supposed to know which one is safe when you send the gluten one and the gluten free in the same packaging, looking exactly the same. RESPONSE TO OWNER: I'm not convinced that they're both always gluten free as per your response. On Deliveroo you mark them separately, saying there is a gluten free option for this dish. Please see the photo. When both arrive in the same packaging and we check which is which with your team who don't care on the phone, the person with the allergy goes without.
