Cafe Salmagundi — Restaurant in Scotland

Wow - great find (just near our Airbnb). Food is really excellent. Between us we had a veggie gluten free breakfast stack. A full meat breakfast. And a Cuban sandwich with fries. Each of them excellent quality ingredients and flavoured really well. Mushrooms - yes. Sourdough - yes. Fries were really crispy in a good way. Coffee is excellent plus exciting other soft drinks and cakes that we could see. Dog friendly too - we got our dog a sausage and a puppacino. Coming back at least once more in our 4 night stay...

Cafe Sal is exceptional. The Menu is super unique (and delicious!) even in Glasgow's thriving coffee scene! We've never found a lentil and chorizo hash quite like this.. Coffee is great, and they sell farm fresh ice cream too!

The serving staff are stars, as is the artwork decorating the otherwise unpretentious low key interior. For a sit-in brunch in Mount Florida, it really doesn't get any better than this..

Terribly rude member of staff. Walked in with my elderly father and took a window seat, seated by a girl who gave us menus. Two minutes later a totally rude member of staff arrived with a customer and a young boy only to tell us that the seats were taken (in other words, get up and leave). She didn’t offer an apology or anything - my dad was trying to give his order whilst she ushered us out the door!
