I’ve visited Lona Cafe a few times now and would say the experience is mixed. The full breakfast is decent and the rolls are fine, and the decor and service are both good – friendly staff and a nice enough setting. That said, I can’t help but feel many of the items are overpriced for the quality on offer. The food isn’t bad, but it doesn’t quite justify the higher prices compared to other options nearby. especially when part of the dishes taste microwaved. Every time I pass, there are either no customers or only a couple inside, which probably says something about the balance between price and quality. If the cafe improved consistency and offered better value for money, I think they’d be much busier. Right now, it’s okay for the odd visit but not somewhere I’d go regularly.

Anytime I'm at Hampden I always stop in for a Latte & watch the crowds go by, it's a little oasis in a storm. Staff are lovely & table service is offered when your sitting. My latte was £2.50, I think that's fine. Pastrami on Foccaca was £8 50

A fine wee cafe on the crossroads between "the way tae Asda and toon", as described by my father. Good food, hot tea and they do a selection of ice creams when the sun creeps back out and its not freeze your bits off baltic.

Lovely staff, Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale were just perfect - Italian coffee and equally delicious tea - well worth a trip to Mount Florida. Judging by the early doors crowd that were in already, the locals have already decided on how good the place is. Seriously, MF is fast becoming a real Boho place to live and eat you should go before it becomes the next Finneston .. 5 Glasgow stars. Update - returned for a late Sunday lunch, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, great food, everything fresh - the display of home made cakes was...
