Caffè Nero — Restaurant in Great Britain

Popped in for some drinks and cake on a shopping trip, the younger girl serving was lovely and helpful. However, there was another staff member there making drinks and she moaned that the girl serving us had taken an order for cold drinks, she then said 'if anyone else asks for the cold then just tell them we have no ice'. She proceeded to make our drinks and put them on the tray without so much as a bit of eye contact. When another person came behind me to order a cold drink she shouted to the girl serving 'Tell her we've no ice', in front of the customer. Bearing in mind we went in at around 6.30pm, it doesn't close until 9pm and they had already closed off half of the shop for cleaning. There was a hoover out across the comfy seats inside so you couldn't sit there, it was as if they were trying to close early. Not the best customer service, we sat outside for about 1 hour and not 1 person even ventured out the door to...

I've never been to such a nonchalant Nero's as this branch before.. great location, SUPER busy, and yet with 5 members of staff behind the till, a que of 7 people (and more people joining behind) took 15 minutes to go down.. how crazy is that?! lucky for Nero, there aren't that many other coffee options around instead.. especially for a quick "grab & go" service! we would probably be able to get serviced quicker by going downstairs to COSTA coffee and join their que all over again. plus I'm sure they would've had some clean tables there too. there's clearly no management in today, as no manager would EVER allow their staff to function like these today. what inefficiency! whoever was in charge did not feel under any pressure at all or hear customers...

This was my first ever visit to cafe Nero breahead, and have to say, came away very impressed.

Upon entering all the empty tables had been cleared, there was a queue of about 7 people, but with 4 staff serving, the wait was very short...

The staff were very polite, and welcoming, and was very helpful, we ordered 2 hot chocolate drinks, with cream and marshmallows... wow were they big, lots of cream and marshmallows with chocolate on top.

The restaurant was very clean and tidy, the spoons were clean, the toilets were clean too.

Upon leaving a member of staff thanked us and wished us a nice day, what a nice touch to end a visit.

Would I recommend they coffee shop , I can whole heartily say 100% yes, will I visit...
