Starbucks Coffee — Restaurant in Scotland

Saw the queue so decided to order through the app. Ordered it at 16:02, we had waited for about 10 mins until we spoke to the girl at the side. At that time we thought we've been acknowledged and then another 10 mins there was another lady and we spoke to her and showed her on my app that I've made payment etc and then she says she doesn't know why there wasn't any order and then she said I know why because we didn't refill the ticket machine so that was why my order didn't come through. I just think if there was someone on a rush and used the app and then to come and find that they needed to wait for their drinks again, it's a bit unacceptable.

The coffee was good though, the barista guy who made the coffee even apologised afterwards again and it wasn't even his fault, it was only the service we received with the app that was a little bit bad. Not sure if I'd use the app anymore to...

There are currently 2 outlets at this centre - the original one on the ground floor and a relatively new one that opened around April 2013 upstairs. I'd probably give 3 or 4 stars to the downstairs outlet, but only 1 star to the upper one (mainly because of the bad attitude of their staff).

At the Starbucks in the lower mall, you always ran the risk of poor coffee (actually more often than not it was poor) - but you could always rely on the friendliness of the staff.....and because of that you can forgive a lot!

At the new Starbucks on the upper floor, the coffee is still inconsistent BUT the staff are poorly trained and many of them have customer service skills that range from rude to indifferent. It's obviously a management failing as, in part, they have recruited the wrong people for a coffee shop.

Having been a customer at Starbucks at braehead for a few years now, we were disappointed to be advised last week that we were no longer allowed to smoke OUTSIDE at your seated area anymore. We were advised this was a Braehead management decision which confused us slightly as it was always Starbucks who provided the ashtrays? This said, we were always unhappy with the woefully slow service at Starbucks. Although it seemed well staffed, the system does not work! So your loss, is your rivals gain, Costa coffee, a few minutes drive from you, do allow customers to sit OUTSIDE and that establishment will be our haunt from now on. A loss for Starbucks and a loss for Braehead. Truly, the smoking ban which, I might add, I fully support, is really...
