So I'm suddenly urged to give constructive feedback on my experience and need to thus give a clear reason for my 3* rating. I liked the food but didn't like the service unfortunately.
I was waiting with a colleague to collect a large order and we were made to feel like we were an inconvenience because of the size of the order. We also were then made to feel less than accepted when we didn't automatically and completely understand that the ordering system on the tablet also included us picking up things we had taken from the to go cabinet and that they wouldn't ring them up separately.
We would have asked the correct way of doing things if there was a member of staff present at the time we lifted the items but sadly it was during a busy lunch period so we understood that someone wouldn't be available to answer our questions immediately. But when they were available, it would have been just standard decency to answer a question without an instant eye roll and a bad attitude to boot.
I did do this review when it was fresh on my mind and raw, so perhaps was too harsh dropping the rating from 5* service experiences previously to 3* for this one bad instance. So I'll split the difference to 4* and hopefully next visit we'll get back to the lovely service levels they...
Read moreOn arrival we were told that the conveyor belt was not in use as they had been so busy they hadn't had a chance to set it up but we were told we could order from the menu and they would bring it to us. We were fine from that and ordered a few dishes which all came out quite slowly. After about 20 mins we were still waiting for the gyoza so we asked the kitchen staff who told us, quite rudely, "yeah they're on their way". We were there for an hour and a half and still hadn't received them. We asked the waitress, who advised they had not been put through the order and apologised and put them through for us. We then waited another 30 mins for them despite watching 4 other diners receive an order of gyoza in that time. We were understanding that staff would be very busy at this time of year but there was no urgency whatsoever, we struggled to find staff to ask about anything as the serving staff kept sitting at the opposite end of the restaurant and the kitchen staff were moving at a snails pace in the kitchen, stopping to chat with each other and carry on and our dishes were passed to us without even looking or saying anything to us in most cases. We finally received the gyoza we'd ordered almost 2 hours after...
Read morevisited Yo! yesterday to try out their new bottomless belt offer. It has been a very long time since I’ve been able to eat as much sushi/sashimi as I want without breaking the bank 🤣so I was very much looking forward to this when I heard they brought this offer back for £30pp. Conveyor belt was full and loads of options for veggies too. Chefs were preparing new dishes and topping up the belt for the whole 90 mins we were there. Great selection of sushi rolls and sashimi for everyone. Food was fresh and staff were friendly and prompt to clear our table too. I did not take a picture of the total plates but I think between us we had roughly 28 plates and two drinks. This came to £67.40. Was told we saved £174….we did mainly eat from the yellow plates as it is our fave with sashimi and nigiri and it is £8.95 per plate. Would definitely recommend going to Yo! for this offer to satiate your sushi cravings like I did. Left the place with a very full belly and will...
