On the whole it is a lovely place with delicious food, friendly staff, fresh interior and a happy feel. We had breakfast and it was delicious and properly cooked. Service was excellent and young staff there were chatty and helpful. There were plenty of seating and had a lovely feel to the place when one get in. Also, it is conveniently located if you have St Michael's mount visit planned as very close proximity to couple of car parking, also close to most of the boat /visitor pick up spots. Please mind that there are few colour coded points where the boat arrives and are dependent on the tide level. It's worth finding out your correct location in advance!

I now wish I’d read the previous reviews of this cafe before going in for take away coffee and cake last week. I too experienced the exceptional grumpiness and rudeness of 1 of the staff members. After getting over the shock of how rude she was to us, I’d hoped to get a chance to ask her why she felt the need to be so awful, but she hid away in the cafe area until we left. While travelling in the area, we were really conscious about supporting local businesses and after leaving this place, I regretted supporting this one. In addition to the miserable staff member, the cake was dry and tasteless. Coffee was just ok.

Nice stop off on the way to St Michael's Mount. Just a couple of minutes walk from beach. Ordered two bacon baps lovely cooked bacon on lovely toasted buttered brioche buns. I had a nice black coffee, and we ordered a hot chocolate that's topped with whipped cream and marshmallows. Nice clean cafe with toilets. Very friendly staff and perfectly positioned before that big walk to the mount. Well stocked menu with lots of food and treats.

After going on a family trip to the seaside we stopped in here attracted to the idea of crab sandwich. We paid almost £10 for a crab sandwich which was a rip-off enough but then they handed it to us in a paper sack which was of poor quality to be polite. After one mouthful my wife had enough shell to cover a 5p coin. As we were still right outside when this happened we went back inside to complain and ask for a refund. The owner (I assume) came out and after explaining the situation explained to us that crab meat came with shell and it was normal. I have had crab meat before and it does not come with that much shell. She proceeded to tell me that she buys crab meat and it comes with shell. Madam, I don't care if you buy crab meat that is not well quality controlled and you don't take care when preparing your high ticket items on your menu! I care that you delivered a poor quality meal to me and then treated me like an idiot with no accountability for your quality or lack there of. The sandwich was the worst dining experience I have had in Cornwall EVER and the treatment of customers shows an absolute lack of respect. Avoid this establishment of you want to be treated decently or have food prepared with any degree of quality. You would get 10 times better quality food...

Person 1 Experience was average at best. The view is nice and the drinks were really good, however the food was boring and dry. Not enough cheese on pizza. Come here if you'd like to waste your money;)

Person 2 Beware Tourist!!!! It all may seem nice...the shop, the people however don't fall into the traps of mankind from Chapel Rock Cafe. They look you in the eyes and penetrate you with their fake love. The food may look nice but your stomach will suffer like the world suffered against covid-19. I have not experienced such disgusting treatments to such a person like me. I heard they kill their fishes by throwing a bomb in the ocean and collecting the dead animal.

Person 3 The restaurant is not too bad. The drinks were better than the food personally, I ordered a chocolate milkshake. The view is the best as you get to enjoy the tide from a higher view. I ordered the fish and chips but it's not incredible just the average you get from a fish and chip shop. The price compared to the portion and quality isn't justified.

Person 4 The mussels are nasty and stank. The crayfish tail pizza is bomb...

Shocking treatment of customers, rude, offensive staff. I ordered 2 lots of chips and a cheese pasty- i waited outside while person after person got their order, 30 minutes later mine appeared! I asked her if i could have salt and vinegar and she said something as she walked away but I couldn't hear her so I followed her into the cafe thinking she was going to get some. She went behind the counter and then turned and just stared at me so I asked her again and she pointed to the other end of the counter where there was another family ordering. I went down to that end and asked if it was on the counter as she was literally no help at all! Then she just shouted across the cafe at me, "You'll have to go out and wait for this family to finish as its one group at a time!" I looked at her and said, "Well do you have some salt that I can just take with me?!" To which she she shouted even louder, "You need to get out and wait, it's one family at a time!!" I have never been spoken to so rudely in a cafe and I will definitely never go back there, or recommend...
