Been going for years with my family and always got small breakfasts, which were ok. Although the new owner started to buy in cheap food instead of good quality, we wanted to stay loyal. Was told yesterday I needed to now pay £7.50 instead of £5.50 because I wanted to swap a couple of items, which we always did. Such a shame as other cafes swap things no problem, not sure why this is suddenly a problem and to ask £7.50 for a small breakfast is extreme. Will be going elsewhere from now on. This place is dead.Go back years it was always full and a decent breakfast....the last owner had clearly given up and didn't care which resulted in poor breakfasts and empty seats.New owners with good intentions but the breakfasts pretty poor...no plans to try anything else.Its a good location with so much opportunity....just needs someone who cares.I sense cherries is finally over.Theres not really any excuse to put a poor breakfast out but so many local places do exactly that poor if not terrible breakfasts.I personally don't even expect much ....not looking for perfection.Just show you care and that comes across in the...

Another excellent brunch at Cherries on Monday. This has become one of my favourite places for a quick nutritious and reasonably priced breakfast. The sign of a well run establishment is how well things work when the owner is NOT in evidence. The team were excellent and the standard of food and service was up to the usual exceptional level.
