The English Rose captures the essence of a traditional English cafe (in this instance definitely pronounced 'kaf') - the decor, atmosphere, clientele, menu and service down to every detail. It feels like stepping into another world if you are not from England or frequent modern cafes inspired by TV chefs serving smashed avocado and crumbled feta on artisan seeded sourdough. Situated on a very busy road in the heart of Boscombe, I've travelled past it countless times over the past few years wondering what it's like inside. There were various cafes within walking distance but The English Rose had some great reviews, so I had a nice (but long) walk from the beach area. Lovely little old style cafe and great service from the young lady working there. I had the Mega breakfast which was lovely AND it included a cup of tea AND toast (most places charge extra for these!!).
