We ordered food from Frank’s last night while visiting friends in Dennistoun and decided to try their new restaurant on Duke Street. It was our first time ordering from the venue for all four of us.
We were informed our order would be ready in 30 minutes, so two of our group went to collect the pizzas at the specified time. Unfortunately, they were then left waiting an additional 60 minutes in the restaurant. During that time, they were repeatedly told, “It won’t be long” and “It’s coming up next.” While we understand that a new restaurant might still be working through teething issues, a bit of honesty about the delay would have been much appreciated. Had we been told the true waiting time, those picking up the food could have gone for a drink at a nearby bar while waiting. Instead, we came close to requesting a refund and heading to the local Papa John's.
By the time the food was finally handed over and the group arrived back, nearly two hours had passed since we placed the order, which left us feeling quite frustrated. To make matters worse, no discount, refund, or gesture of goodwill was offered to compensate for the long wait. It was clear the order had been forgotten in the kitchen at some point.
When we finally got the food back to the flat, we weren't sure what to expect, but to our delight, it was absolutely fantastic. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, a sausage and mixed veg pizza, and some sides, including chicken tenders, mozzarella dippers, and fries. Everything was incredibly tasty, but the chicken tenders and mozzarella dippers were the real standouts – definitely worth ordering on the side. The dips were also excellent, especially the lemon mayo and garlic mayo. The only small letdown was that we had ordered hot honey, but the portion provided was barely a dribble.
Despite the service and long wait, the quality of the food was among the best we’ve had in Glasgow. We would definitely return, and we hope that once the restaurant has been running a bit longer, the service will have improved to...

Read moreWe ordered 2 sides and 2 pizza’s. The Mozzarella sticks were amazing, although took 40 mins. A little later the pizza arrived but was definitely not worth the wait. I know this pizza style is supposed to be crispy, but it was more burnt. The pepperoni was black and shrivelled up. The tomato base had a strong tomato paste flavour. They were generally very salty and very disappointing. The shop has just opened, but feels half finished. It is freezing cold and the toilet was dirty, with dust from the building work on the surfaces. They had loads of time to make the place look nice! Even though the sides were very good, it’s a solid 1 star review from me. It was the most expensive and worst pizza I’ve had in a...
