Came here with hubby and some friends (8 adults) on Sunday evening. Can't believe I've driven past the place several times but never paid attention to it. We were the only customers there which was great. We were greeted in a friendly manner. Once all the guest arrived, a lovely young lady attended to us. She was very friendly (wish I got her name). She was patient when taking our orders. We had assorted pepper meat as starter and our other friends had to asun. Our assorted meat was really yummy. The meat was soft with the right level of spiciness. The portion was enough for 2 people to share. The other starter (Asun) has good reviews as well. Though we didn't taste it but our friends that ordered it enjoyed it. They stated that it was spicy but tolerable. Next, 7 out of 8 of us had the abula. I decided to go for the ayamashe basmati rice with plantain. Basmati rice was cooked to perfection. Plaintain was soft and sweet. The Ayamashe sauce was really yummy; again spicy but tolerable. It has enough meat selection and sauce. Portion of the food was really good. Next is the abula. I tasted the abula and it was one of thr best I've had in UK. The gbegiri was the right consistency... not too thick or watery. The ewedu had a nice aroma. The amala was so soft without any lumps. Can't fault it. The abula was with assorted meat and I have to say, the meat selection was impressive. It came with 4 meat which which decent size (shaki, abodi, and 2x igimu eran-snot). Again, meat was nice and soft. Overall, really good atmosphere and all the food we had were extremely satisfactory. The only downside is the toilet. There is no baby changing facility. I hope they take that on board and have it done for next time but I'll definitely go back...

Read moreMy friend, who isn't Nigerian, was craving Amala (abula) so badly. I decided to take her to GF 9JA Cuisine, which was actually my first time visiting since it opened. Everything about this place is great! They prioritise customer safety by taking careful note of allergies, which put us both at ease. The service was fantastic – they were attentive and welcoming throughout our visit.
But the real star of the show was the food! It was absolutely delicious. My girlfriend couldn't get enough of the abula, and I was equally impressed with my own dish. The flavours were incredible, and the portions were generous.
On top of that, GF 9JA Cuisine boasts a lovely location and a conducive environment, with nice design features. It's a perfect place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. I'll definitely be recommending it to my friends and family, and I can't wait to go...
