This is a new venture, only open a few days, and it shows somewhat, the atmosphere was somehow lacking, but it is early days for the feline fun house, some quiet music may help matters, or more guests perhaps. The cats we saw were gorgeous and very friendly but we could have done with more cats. As expected the proprietors were delightful, as most catty people are. The coffee was remarkably good👌 , particularly considering they were prepared by inexperienced baristas. The quality of the coffee beans stood out. The cakes were good and tasted home made 👍. Service was slow, but anyone who goes here isn't in a rush as you prebook and prepay for an hour slot (this fee goes towards the care of the furry inmates). Prices were reasonable but what we really went for was to meet some cats, among others we met the 2 sultry sphynxes they were delightful as they both climbed into wifey's jumper and promptly fell asleep.. All too soon our 1 hour slot was up and after extricating 2 bald, feline friends from my wife's attire we bid a fond farewell, returning home to our own three furbabies. I look forward to our next visit when our charming hostesses will be suitably more experienced. Verdict, great for cat lovers, great for coffee lovers not in a...
Read moreSpotted a leaflet about the Kitty Cat Cafe whilst on holiday near Girvan. Having 3 cats ourselves we knew we would need a cat fix while away from them. This did not disappoint. We booked online for 9 of us ranging from 13 to almost 50 years of age. All of us had such a wonderful time and really didn't want to leave. The staff welcomed us all and gave us a little reminder of the cafe rules. We were then let into the main cafe area where we were greeted by absolutely beautiful, content and friendly cats. We all just wondered around spotting different cats in different places and feeling totally relaxed in the calming atmosphere. We eventually ordered some hot drinks and really delicious cakes. We found the prices were very reasonable and the staff so helpful and chatty. We can honestly say this was such a great experience and we had a really lovely time. The £8 per person entry fee is more than worth it to contribute to the health and happiness of the cats. My husband fell in love with Jupiter and left with a magnet of the little cutie. I'm sure it will have pride of place on our refrigerator for many years to come. Thank you so much to the staff and every single cat for such a wonderful time! I hope we make back...
Read moreBy far the best cat cafe I have been too. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and just like coming into a family/friends house to visit. Very cosy and warm as well, could sit and relax and enjoy the session without feeling rushed in and out.
The owners so lovely and take a lot of time spending with their customers chatting away, talking about the cats and their journey or just general chit chat.
Lovely and clean cafe and the cats look well kept after as well. Only had a coffee but the cakes looked really tasty so would definitely recommend having one when you visit.
I especially liked that there are communication boards available for use on for those who are non verbal or struggle to verbalise wants/needs.
Highly recommend, such a lovely addition to Ayr and we will...
