Kwang Tung Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Great Britain

So we booked months ago for Xmas eve as that was only time out family could get together for a meal. Family of 10. 6-8pm. Arrived at 6pm but no table ready and waited to be seated for 10mins. That's not an issue. Took drinks order and starters order at 6.15 and drinks arrived. Waited 45mins before asking what the hold up was for the starters as was only 2 plates of ribs and spring rolls and a soup. Only 4 people were getting starters and eventually arrived at 7.30. Shocking. Told them to just bring the mains out ASAP as that was a long wait just for starters . Asked again at 8pm for mains and told another 20/30mins. One family member had to leave at 8.15 without ANY food as had to be at work for 8.30.

Kept getting told they were busy. Other tables were being served and eating long before we were even though they came in after us. The takeaway side was constantly busy and orders were flying out the door as customers came in and ordered takeaway and left. Food arrived at 8.35. Yes it was nice but lost our appetite and night was ruined. Now it's a small sit in restaurant as half of it has been taken over for the takeaway service and deliveries so there was no excuse as there's not a lot of tables. But they had no issues serving the takeaway and deliveries. We told them to stop serving ones walking in for a takeaway and deal with customers that are waiting

Manager apologised and offered a free drink and coffee. But too little too late Thanks but won't be back. The sit in service was appalling and the waitress did try her best as we know it wasn't her fault. Finally...

It was alright, I suppose, it was just that we were in early, well about 1 pm, but my partner & I only felt that we had to hurry up. :-( The staff just stood watching us eat, then, when we were finished our meal & left, they pulled the shutters down straight away, which confirmed what we had been saying to each other & that we were right . :-( We did say to each other afterwards & both agreed NEVER to go back. The meal & sweet were actually ok, nothing special though, it was just their bullying tactics that made us feel very uncomfortable. :-( I'm not happy about this review, but the page asked & I told you's. :-( Just need a proper restaurant the next time. Good luck if anyone goes in, because it actually can't possibly be like that all of the time. It could've just been a bad day for the staff, which in turn made our day bad. :-( Good luck...

.we had attended a funeral in the Paisley area, we booked Kwang Tung for dinner for two. We waited 25 mins for the starters which were decidedly average. It was coming up on a full hour and the mains were not served. Yet take away food flying out. We had had enough. We paid the bill, £23 for soft drinks n starter. The table was cramped, it was cold . The staff were pleasant enough.The senior member of staff perfectly understood why we walked out. She said it was " exceptionally busy. We have NEVER experienced this in our usual Chinese restaurant which is twice the size and always busy. We wouldn't return. This is dated...
