Las Iguanas - Cardiff — Restaurant in Great Britain

We came here in January and had a great experience, so now we are back in March, this time not so good, well that's an under statement, and we won't be coming back again. First, ladies toilet was out of order and had to use disabled one...it was discussing 🤢 didn't flush properly, had lots of toilet paper down it, had no hand towels, there was water all over the floor, more like a high traffic public loo than a restaurant toilet, we were lucky there was at least a little loo roll left. The waitress took our drinks order while I was using the toilet, then the drink I ordered didn't come until just before our meals. We ordered 4 meals, 3 came together and after waiting for a few minutes for the 4th meal, I started on mine and was nearly half way through my meal when I went to check with someone how long the other meal was going to be, the meal we were waiting on was for a child, when it was brought over all the chips I had ordered on a separate plate were finished that's how long we waited for the child's meal. I feel the whole experience was ruined by all this, and I couldn't even tell you what the quality of the food was like, we left without having dessert. Like I said, we had a good experience last time but don't want to take the chance of a hit or miss experience, so we won't...

Booked last minute on a Tuesday night for 7.30pm, on arrival we were warmly greeted by a young server, she quickly had to clean down our table but then directed us to a booth style seating for the four of us. The young lady was really fantastic, doing plenty of check backs and was extremely attentive and absolute credit to any business and always something that makes the dining experience a real delight unfortunately I didn't get her name but we were on table 10 and if you are so lucky to be served by her everything will go smoothly.

The food was absolutely delicious, extremely tasty and well flavoured, portions were good, I always feel starters can be slightly expensive for the amount you get but just a personal preference.

We had 2 courses and 2 drinks each along with a couple shots and it came to £188, also if you have a totum student discount card it's 25% off food Sunday through Thursday which is fantastic value. Overall for very tasty food, 2-1 cocktails I felt this is great value, the only negative I would add is it was rather loud atmosphere wise not something you might encounter depends who's in but worth noting it can bring a vibrant crowd. A really great night though and would recommend this location to anyone...

And did we mention her spirit animal might just be a llama? Relaxed, fun, and effortlessly cool, she made us feel like we were right at home, even in the busiest of moments.
