I came into the Rituals store in Cardiff on my birthday to ask about the birthday offer I received from them via email. Unfortunately my first interaction with one of the staff members, John, was unpleasant. John was condescending, rude, dismissive, and said that I needed to be a loyal member who has previously made purchases and that I can’t just make an account to claim a birthday treat. Therefore, not answering the question I had whilst also making assumptions about me. He was unwelcoming, unhelpful, and spent more time in personal conversation with someone in the store, remaining unapproachable, despite having the time to police and hover around me and my friend whilst we tried and looked for products in the store.

Thankfully, Jayshree was professional, warm and approachable. We asked her for help instead and she kindly explained the terms and conditions clearly and also offered us tea while we shopped for birthday treats. She was lovely and redeemed our experience with rituals as we left with our freebies and birthday treats. We hope that if we are to visit this specific Rituals branch again, we meet more customer assistants like...

I had the pleasure of visiting the Cardiff store recently and was treated to the most personalised and efficient customer service I have received in a long time. I was greeted by Jon (or John?) who proceeded to look after me whilst in store. What a genuinely helpful man! A real credit to the store but also refreshingly honest and real. Not at all pushy but informative and couldn’t do more to assist. I was so impressed by his product knowledge and insight, and the time spent at the sink demonstrating products was exceptional. No rushing or pushing to buy- it was like shopping with a friend! Jon showed me 3 or 4 options which all fitted my needs - wonderful but also meant my spending more than I should!! He was like a busy bee whilst I was there, ensuring other customers weren’t ignored whilst helping me. What a multi tasker! I will certainly return, based on not only the beautiful fragrances now exuding from me and my home, but also the level of care and information I received. Well done Rituals on hiring fantastic brand...

Fantastic customer service.

I was looking for a gift for my wife and Ellie was so helpful. She took me through lots of products based on what type of gift I wanted and suggested a bespoke hamper instead of a standard gift box. This gave me the opportunity to create a much more varied gift; being able to pick and choose from the different Rituals lines and not be confined to just one. Ellie’s advice was extremely helpful as she took the time to understand what the gift would be used for which was fantastic. We decided on a pampering theme and all the detail the Ellie gave me allowed me to quickly build a hamper that is the perfect gift.
