100% suited to the purpose The Market tavern is not the Ritz! . BUT the Market tavern is ideally situated smack bang in the market square centre of knaresboro with a superb car park and excellent Fair & Square fresh pub grub, good size portions and affordable priced. All staff we met were courteous and helpful and the Landlord was exemplary. Our room had everything we needed for a two night stop with en-suite rooms and fresh linen daily...Oh and a really Good full English breakfast For what it is the Market tavern...

Scruffy pub! sofas ripped to bits by dog or claws, soft furnishings have more animal hairs on them than a mohair jumper.. Smell of animals is strong. Could be a decent pub as landlord is friendly. Wife went to loo and said they were disgusting the public loos in the car park are cleaner so worth using them instead. Will update review once the flea bites are...

Lovely pub in the city centre, mainly for the older people who like a get together and a chat,sports on the T.V. with a good bit of music in the background, good choice of beers, lagers and ciders, wines and spirits.
