I had to recently babysit for a friend of mine so as a treat I decided to take their child here. Needless to say I regret it. Firstly, one of the staff members there got the order wrong for the happy meal I ordered for my mate's kid (her son has certain allergies one of them being tomatoes) had ketchup all over it. He was upset about it but I told him not to worry and that I'd get him another burger.
I went up to the till and told them about the issue and the person serving me was like "so what? He can still eat it, just remove the ketchup etc". So now the kid I'm babysitting is crying harder. I ended up giving him my burger instead to cheer him up because I ain't having his day be ruined over a burger.
After the food I decided to let him run around in the play area whilst I finished up on a piece of work for my college. I told him that if he needed me I'd be sat near the entrance of the play area. (I trusted him enough as he's not typically a troublemaker)
Not even five minutes has passed and he comes running up to me crying and gagging. I think to myself "oh no he's just been sick in the play area I'll have to go and clean it"
Through tears he tells me that there's a "runny brown liquid all in the tunnel" and I freak. I went to investigate the situation and low and behold a child had an accident in there that was now coating almost half the tunnel. I decided to try and clean it up to the best of my capabilities and then I looked around for this kids parent or caregiver.
Low and behold, I find said kid (who we'll call Jonathan) was with his mum. I told his mum that her child had an accident in the play area and she looked at me and started to accuse me of being a bully to her kid despite the fact this kid clearly reeked (and was covered) in poo. One of the workers came over and asked what the ruckus was about so I explained that Jonathan had a poo explosion in the play area tunnel. The staff member was like "well it's not my problem, I ain't cleaning it nor am I reporting it to the cleaners", something of which left me appalled. I told Jonathan's mum that she'll have to clean the rest and she flipped.
Needless to say I left with the kid I was babysitting. I am honestly appalled about the way the workers spoke to me and how they don't care for...

I visited this restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime, it was packed with walk-in customers (understandably at probably the busiest time of the week). Every table was occupied and there was no tables available for customers wanting to dine-in and lots of customer waiting for tables.
The was a considerably large section of the restaurant cordoned off (appropriately one third of the total restaurant floor space). Upon a closer look this section had âreserved for delivery partnersâ notices on each table. 11 tables in total if you count the extra long high benches as 2 tables. During my visit no delivery partner used the space.
McDonaldâs restaurant designers have put a lot of time and energy into designing a restaurant that is suitable for customers needs and fitted in sufficient tables for turnover of the store only to have somebody make the decision locally that its ok to permanently take 11 tables out of use for âdelivery partnersâ basically saying that delivery customers are of greater importance than valuable walk-in customers.
The restaurant was packed to capacity with diners and customers unable to get a table, its total madness to have a third of the restaurant out of use, what message is it sending to customers waiting for a table to see 11 tables reserved for the odd delivery rider that may come in?
I complained politely to the duty manager who had set up office on another of the restaurants tables and was told insincerely that âdelivery drivers do use itâ then was rudely asked to âmove out of the area as it was a staff areaâ even though I was stood at the customer side of the counter (another section of the public area that they had commissioned as a âstaff areaâ) the manager was given the opportunity to retain my custom but didnât seem bothered or gets that many complaints he has become...
Read moreMcDonald Winwick Rd. On the morning of Saturday 07/01 2023 we took our grand children to McDonald Winwick Rd for breakfast and a play in the play area. We arrived at 10am but the play area was not open until 11am. We all had breakfast, cost £21.06, when the play area opened at 11am the grand kids eventually has their play for 35minutes, We packed up we pack up and left McD's 11.45am. Today 16/01/2023 i received a Parking Charge Notice from a company UKPC. The UKPC Charge Notice states we arrived at 09.53 am and left at 11.44am. The stay was 1hr 50mins the allowed time being 1hr 30mins !! I'm not doubting the times stated but we had a meal and used the facilities. This car park is now controlled by use of camera number plate recognition. These companies have no interest in the customer they are just a money making racket who extort money from unsuspecting customers and/or public. They use scare tactics to extort payment. As for the so called independent arbitrator POPLA totally biased toward the car parking companies. I spoke to on the phone, the branch manager was not interested quoting "we now have a company that now controls the car park and there are signs posted". I asked if he could send a letter explaining the circumstances. He was not helpful at all. I asked if he could give me details of the area manager the reply look on the web site. So what was a treat for our Grandchildren is a very expensive treat. As for McDonald's Winwick Rd why have a play area if you offload your car park control to a Car Parking Extortion racket. Not the customer service the...
