Had to update this review due to a recent experience, to show just how bad this is, a recent order ended up with an extra three cheese burgers, three large fries, and a chicken select ON TOP OF OUR OWN ORDER! See I'm not going to say no to free food, but that's someone else's order they gave to us, and I can't help but realise whoever had that order then had to wait for theirs to be remade... Everything said below after this point is still true, but when the mistakes are so big as to receive a full bag extra for a set of nuggets and fries... Common sense?
Never bother going through the drive through, unless you go for the most simplistic orders. Wouldn't recommend ordering multiple meals either this way as that will also end up with lost orders, or someone else's order with your own. Spoke to someone at the window as I waited, and got into a conversation about how bored they were after only an hour of working, which to me seems that either the employees don't like working there or they simply don't care about the job at all. Yes I know it was raining that day and was pretty miserable, but seriously? After an hour, you're wanting to go home?
I get that they're busy, but when the staff do not put any care into the job they do, that's when they've hired the wrong staff, and unfortunately until that changes, there's no way I can recommend going here for anything but the smallest orders, and even then be prepared to have to go in to get it changed for your...
Read moreThe Eat out to help out scheme seemed like the perfect time for our family of 3 to have our first fast food meal for many many months. We walked in to Macdonald's in Yeovil and realised that we had to find a seat. Luckily it was quiet in there. All of the screens to order were disabled so not able to use them. A member of staff told us to place our order at the till then sit down. We ordered meals and drinks for the 3 of us and waited. It was quick and the fries were hot so that was a bonus. We ate the meals and then chose to have an ice cream after. So again my husband went to the till for the ice cream. This was given to him there and then. At this time many people had left after only having a quick burger, but the tables and floors were becoming very dirty and quite off putting. Food debris was on at least two of the none sectioned off tables so people arriving would have to sit at a dirty table. We were interested in watching people and the staff did not seem as thorough as in the past. I would question the sanitizing of every thing and every table. I had brought my own wipes and I did our table and chairs. Actually, I realized after wards that the food is not all that special and I have not really missed it. To be honest, I dont think I will rush back for many...
Read moreCalled earlier on with a complaint as a regular customer to the Lysander Mcdonald’s; regrettably spoke to the ‘not-very’ lovely Michelle.
Right from the get go argumentative and unhelpful. Probably the worst display of customer service I have experienced, I would highly recommend that Michelle is either re-trained in customer relations immediately or takes a job away from the phone potentially flipping the burgers or re filling the sauce bags. Because that way, if like Michelle you possess the charm and social skills something vaguely reminiscent of Pol Pot or Heinrich Himmler in their hay day. You won’t leave customers feeling so displeased with your service and won’t feel the need to leave any bad reviews! The burgers will be flipped and the sauce bags will remain full!
I do trust it will be no easy feat to attempt to train Michelle in the art of conversation, or to tackle her deep rooted emotional traumas from the past which she clearly seems to enjoy taking out-on unsuspecting customers who’ve had a problem with their McNuggets.
Potentially it would be easier to train Michelle in the art of war or to interrogate terrorists at Guantanamo Bay. She seems to have a knack for it in my opinion!
All the...
