5-Star Review for Little O’Neil’s, Cardiff
We had such a fantastic experience at Little O’Neil’s in Cardiff! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, friendly faces and truly outstanding service. The team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, especially when it came to our little girl. They quickly found a kids’ menu for her and, to our amazement, even popped out to buy some new colouring supplies just to keep her entertained. We were honestly blown away by that level of kindness and thoughtfulness.
When it came to the food, the menu had something for everyone, a great mix of hearty classics and crowd-pleasers. Our group ordered the mixed grill, gammon and egg, chicken burger, and beef burger. Every single dish was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, and generously portioned.
The kids’ meal was an absolute steal at just £3.99, great value for money with a brilliant selection for little ones to choose from. Our daughter loved her meal and had such a great time!
The drinks were spot-on too, tasty, refreshing, and very reasonably priced.
Huge thanks to the amazing team at Little O’Neil’s. We’ll definitely be back for more very...
Read moreHad a work dinner in here last Thursday about 6.30. It was surprisingly quiet but it is January and so lots of people aren’t drinking.
The decor was nice, plenty of options for couples or groups, high and low tables.
We sat on a round table for four.
We ordered at the bar. Nachos, spice Ina. Bag, chicken wings and a burger.
Food was decent pub food. Came out in a good time considering it wasn’t busy. Chicken on the nachos was cold and we weren’t sure of it should’ve been hot or not. We didn’t flag it as it wasn’t a deal breaker.
My chicken wings were good. Got to pick three sauces which was a nice touch.
My colleague said the burger was good and the spice in the bag also big thumbs up although apparently not very authentic 😃
Drink selection was good, good range of beers, ales and spirits. Didn’t see the wine list.
Service was friendly and efficient. No faults.
Would go back if it was a bit more lively. The music they had on was pretty good but...
Read moreThis pub must be the loudest pub in Cardiff...you can hardly hear yourself think! For some inexplicable reason, when watching an international sports game, they insist on putting the music on the instant the whistle blows...even for half time! When there's a massive crowd in, that 95% of them are there to watch the game, I'd say that the majority of them want to listen to the whole game, including the analysis during the game & before the next one! Try reading your bloody audience!! Saying that, there's generally a good atmosphere, particularly on a rugby international day; apart from the ear splitting music & the service is pretty good. Food is OK for general pub food but the beer is VERY expensive, even for a city center pub...£6.95 for a beer that's just over a fiver in pubs that are about 20m away! Will I be going there again?...unfortunately I very much...
