Old Union Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Great Britain

Well sign « dog friendly » but after five barks you will be asked to leave.

Sort of gives the ambiance of the shop.

We ordered two expressos and a brownie.

Sat outside.

Almost instantly a gull swept down (picture) and gobbled down half of the brownie.

I returned and showed the manager.

Her response « they do that ».

No offering to replace the brownie.

And no sign « beware of the gulls ».

Dogs beware! Only bark five times!

But customers pay to feed the gulls.

Very sad and not typical for the incredibly accommodating and friendly Scots.

There are many other coffee shops in Saint Andrew’s pass...

Went in as part of a group just before 11am to have breakfast. Didn't think this would be a bother as breakfast was served until 11am. Our group all went up to order at the same time however after half of us had been served we were told breakfast was no longer running. So half our group got breakfast and the other half didn't. How hard would it have been to chuck on an extra rasher...

Very small, very studenty. The coffee was pretty decent and not massively expensive and the food was pretty much the same. It is an old building and not really suitable for anyone who needs walking aids or a wheelchair.
