Shiraz — Restaurant in England

Terrible waiter service. Sat with family at the table for an hour and after the food was delivered no one came to the table as we needed drinks and it was table service only. After waiting about a further half-hour and being totally ignored each time by our waiter and other waiters that came past I went to the bar and asked politely could we please order drinks and our waiter shouted at me "table service only" in a very high rude voice, I said but you are ignoring us, as we have asked you twice for drinks and you said in a minute and never came back? All the waiters still kept ignoring us and we waited a further 20 minutes and still, no one came to us? We do not like to make a fuss and felt we were discriminated against as we could see no other reason for the reason we were ignored at all times. Here's the funny thing we had to leave as we needed our children to at least get a drink somewhere, as we walked away our waiter rushed to the table to clean it. if only he paid as much attention to us when we were there? I do not usually write reviews, but had to write this one. If the management read this, maybe take note of the staff you employ. We are asked to holiday in the UK, but this is one of the reasons we might avoid it. I would give less than one star if I could and at least this will hopefully make other potential customers aware...

When around the harbour, we usually go to Offshore or Vaughans as I've found the staff at Shiraz can be rude. But on this visit Shiraz was the only bar with vacant tables. My partner ordered a mocha. He couldn't have one as the hot chocolate machine wasn't working. I wanted a decaf americano. Couldn't have one. Why? They don't do decaf! Really? The drinks came to £6.00. Poor value for something that was just ok. We decided to have a cooked breakfast when we saw some arrive at the next table. It comes with fried bread. Not one of my favourites. I asked if I could substitute that for toast instead. Something I've always asked elsewhere and have always been given. Not at Shiraz. But I could order toast on the side instead. The breakfast was nice and good value but the fried bread was very greasy. The toilet cubicle I used could have been cleaner. It's not uncommon for places to neglect toilet cleanliness when staff are busy but in these Covid times it's more important than ever that they're kept clean. The waiter was pleasant enough but the fried bread situation and lack of decaf makes me feel customer satisfaction is low on Shiraz list...

I went here yesterday with my partner and child for some lunch as we are on holiday. The last behind the bar is the rudest person I have ever met. She was extremely unhelpful, very blunt, unfriendly and didn’t even smile once or even say ‘Hello’ the only time she spoke was when she told me to pay. I had asked for a coke, wasn’t told there was only Coke Zero so I asked to change to a j20. I asked for it in the bottle as she totally disregarded me. My 22 month year olds chicken was pink inside and had a line of blood through it. I am pregnant and when I asked for the steak To be medium, she said no it’s already done so when asked how the steak is cooked she just shrugged at me. I then asked for prawns (fine if they’re cooked!) and she questioned me after rolling her eyes at me. I then explained pink prawns are fine but not grey. She went on to say they will be grey and she even asked the guy in the kitchen who told me they were raw and frozen and served like that ……(they weren’t, they were pink- one good thing!) whilst eating she kept coming by our table and vaping. Just a really horrible experience from Such a cold lady....
