I was with my four Thai friends when we walked in last Saturday. The assistant manager turned us away because we didn't have a reservation and the restaurant was full. We were already out of the door but a guy whom we learned was the team leader named Emmanuel called us and said there were tables downstairs. He explained that the service will be a lot slower. We didn't have to wait very long as the team leader was very good, friendly, chatty, accomodating, went above and beyond the call of duty. We were NOT disappointed - the food and service were fantastic, chef was not Thai but even my Thai friends approved of the authenticity of the food. The only downside was the chicken and pork belly pad Thai, and fried chicken wings were too salty and the noodles were like rubber. I can't get over how very tender the pork belly was, so lovely, melted in our mouths! The rice chicken noodle soup was tasteless - very disappointing. Good thing, my Thai friends know how to cook and remedy the tasteless soup with the condiments on the table. Plates and bowls were made of plastic, looked dirty, old, tatty and off putting. It would be nice if they are porcelain, more presentable and pleasing to the eyes. It would be lovely to eat on porcelain or ceramic plates than plastic. We enjoyed the lychee and jasmine bubble tea and pink milky bubble tea - so lush! We will definitely be back!

Visited this restaurant this evening One of the worst places for food and service I have ever attended It was my dear aunts 85 Birthday and we just wanted to celebrate with lovely good atmosphere and service But what we got was awful food and even worse service no they were as bad as each other Arrived at 6pm staters arrived 2hours later The mains were served at hock meaning people were given Rice without the curry which followed some 30+minutes later The food was bland and unappetising My sister had the Prawn Pad tie which was cold and returned after it was pinged I. The microwave I had the Chicken and Rice OMG the chef needs to go back to cookery school The staff were disappointing no organisation skills. Plates were left all over the bars Took forever to clear the table and had to continually ask for the tables to be cleared Imagine getting to a restaurant at 6 and at 10 some of your party are waiting for their mains at 10 I know we were a big party but we didn’t just walk in it was a booking so they were expecting us for their Thai Banquet at £30 a head Even one of the staff said I’m sorry and embarrassed about how we were treated tonight.” I will never visit this place again 🤢🤢🤢🤢

The food was disappointing - see pics of beef massaman curry cube squares. I've seen better cuts of meat in a dog food can. The cubes were so perfectly uniform, I'm sure they were cut by a machine. The meat was so tough. £15 for this dish, you're better off buying a microwave meal fron tesco. I rejected the pad Thai noodles because it was dry. The waiter had the cheek to deny that and insist that that's how it's meant to be. When I asked, he wasn't even from Thailand. £14 down the drain. That excuse might have worked in the past, but not for traveller like me who has been in Bangkok Thailand a few times. £6 for mango sticky rice, I regretted ordering it the moment it arrived. I could tell by the colour it wasn't ripe enough. It's edible, but not sweet and authentic. £3 for jasmine rice is standard pricing in Asian restaurants but they taste dry and stale. I had my suspicions when the restaurants next door were lively and busy but was lured in to this quiet place instead. I should have trusted my instincts. Stay away!

Server 0% Bad Service.... Such a bad experience...

Oh My... Where shall I start?.. I dont really like to put anyone on the spot but I think I have to after a such a terrible experience from one of the server in this establishment. I was out with my little family and all we wanted is to have a nice meal out together... My husband and my 6 years old boy wanted to eat Thai food and we were so hungry and found this little spot/place.

When we arrived at this restaurant, the restaurant was nearly empty, there were only 2 customers inside.. we did not feel welcome at all, a woman server on that day 25 February, let us in WITHOUT a welcome word, NO WARMT, NO SMILE or what so ever you expect from a good hospitality service. When we sat down, we were given a menu but never offered a children's menu, I had to asked for it.. The manager or the owner finally took our order with no problem... the SERVER on that day seemed uninterested to what she does, I found her very rude, unprofessional and dismissive to the other customers who walked in and wondering where to sit, she then finally greet them with a stinking attitude saying EXCUSE ME??? CAN I HELP YOU? it felt and sounded like EXCUSE ME??? YOU DONT BELONG HERE OR YOU CANT EAT HERE...trust me you would feel unwelcome hearing this with such a terrible tone on her voice... I could not sit there and be quite, I was telling my husband how bad the approach was to those 2 ladies, considering she is working in the hospitality sector, where she needed to be polite, professional and make the customers feel welcome. she then obviously heard me talking to my husband about it and then she decided to come to our table and told us to leave.. CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT??? I would have make so much scene about it but I did not want to ruin our day because of that, plus we did not want our boy hear everything so I choose not to say much. Requested to see the manager instead, Manager came to our table explaining she's under pressure with a lots of things, and offered us to come back with 50% off from our bill, I dont think so, FIRST you need to train your staff seriously how to give an excellent service, considering you have a SERVICE CHARGE on top of your customers bill. SECOND you dont let your customers hear you arguing in the restaurant... YES we heard you argued, and this was very unprofessional, you might be going through something and we feel sorry for you but you dont show this to your customers who bring custom to your business.

We could not comment on food, As we did not get to have one because we were asked to leave with no fault...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rosa's Thai in Cardiff, and I must say, it was an experience to remember! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The decor was beautiful, blending traditional Thai elements with a modern twist, creating a cozy yet chic ambiance.

One of the highlights of our visit was the exceptional service provided by Rhiannon. She went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Rhiannon was attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely friendly, making us feel right at home. She took the time to explain the different dishes and made excellent recommendations based on our preferences.

Rhiannon's suggestions did not disappoint! We started with the delicious fresh veggie summer rolls which were bursting with fresh flavours. For our mains, we chose the classic Pad Thai and the Massaman Curry. Both dishes were absolutely divine.

Overall, dining at Rosa's Thai Cardiff was an amazing experience, made even better by the exceptional service provided by Rhiannon. Her warmth and professionalism truly set this restaurant apart. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and warm atmosphere makes this restaurant...
