Gusto is run by Allan who serves amazing Gourmet food. He is a family man and he only uses the finest ingredients. All the food is prepared to the highest standards and made carefully to present it to us, his guests. Allan takes great pride in his food and he has a history of being one of the finest chefs this country has. His restaurant is truly a hidden gem. How do I know? I've taken the trouble to really get to know Allan's work history and have also recognised that his humble and authentic approach in the field of gourmet cooking is second to none. My family have been eating at Gusto's for over ten years and all my children would rather go and eat there than Mc Donald's, Italian, Chinese, Indian or the pub. That says a lot. Read moreI booked a table via the facebook page and Allan replied and confirmed our table. Apparently the opening hours only go until 9:00pm, however this is totally flexible and Allan is a brilliant host, cook, waiter etc. You will struggle to find a more personal eating experience and I haven't even started on the food.

I usually only have a main and dessert or started and main, but I just had to have the sticky toffee pudding and was not let down.
The bistro does not have a drinks licence, so if you want to drink, you can pop across the road a buy whatever you want to drink.
I will be coming back with friends and family as you would have to travel into the center of town to get...

Allan is really friendly and so passionate about his food and will ensure to spend time explaining the dishes to you. Every dish i have tried is always fantastic, full of flavour and makes me want to have it again the next time i go, but i always try to go for something new and i am never disappointed. The mushroom risotto is my absolute favourite.
