I visited Tintagel Castle around 2 PM and was desperately looking for a place to eat. Unfortunately, most restaurants were closed at that time. We ended up at Spice Cabin, and I really wish we hadn’t.
We ordered a pizza, chips, burger, and wings. The food tasted stale and off from the first bite. It was clear these items were not freshly prepared—more like leftovers from a few days ago. I later found out they had likely served food that was already made at least 3 days earlier. The result? I suffered from a severe case of diarrhea afterward.

Read moreWent here the other night as everywhere else in the village was shut except the pub which unfortunately had no free tables,so it was either food from the local spar shop or the spice cabin. We chose the spice cabin as couldn't be bothered cooking, big mistake. The man was really pleasant but the food was horrendous. Ordered a ham and pineapple pizza which for some reason was really spice around the crust. Ordered cheesy chips, sweat potato fries and basic chips. Read moreThis is just as bad as every other place that can’t decide what they want to do..pizza, chicken/kebabs or curry? When you open a shop especially if it’s take away you must create a organisation that can pump out fresh food 100% of the time instead of pre cooking and storing in fridges to reduce waste.. get there at 5am prepare if you need to and do not use produce that have been stored longer than 72hrs..I hope they get a visit from the health agency soon as the food was awful and as I’m a chef my backside that chicken is fresh and change your oils...
