We spotted Vega when passing on a bus and decided that we had to call in when visiting Tintagel. We were a bit unsure of the opening hours but the owner quickly responded to a question to inform that they are closed on Tuesdays. They have 2 different menus, Wednesday to Friday and Saturday to Monday, but they both looked equally appetising so there are lots of options every day. We chose 2 starters and 2 mains , thinking that vegan meals can often be a bit on the small side, especially considering the price was very reasonable compared to other places in the area. We couldn't have been more wrong, the portions were generous and it was a good thing that we had worked up an appetite walking from Boscastle to Tintagel, although it was still a struggle to finish everything. The food was amazing, so tasty, well presented and great value for money. The service was friendly and welcoming and it's nice that they are dog friendly. We would definitely visit again if we're in the area...

I was fortunate to discover this lovely little cafe during a recent holiday in Tintagel. Delicious hot meals made from wholefoods healthy ingredients and freshly prepared from scratch. There’s a great selection of desserts and freshly made drinks as well. The cafe is run by two compassionate women who care deeply about animals and ethical living, each offering their own separate menu—so there's plenty of variety. I was lucky enough to try a range of tasty dishes throughout the week and everything was so full of flavour. The Soul Bowl Salad and Satay Noodle Bowl were particularly good and the Onion Bhajis with Raita were divine! Bonus points for being very dog-friendly. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or simply enjoy good food—this place is well...

Just had our evening meal at VEGA and it was possibly the best food I've had whilst eating out in a very long time. My partner had Chickpea and coconut curry which looked and tasted amazing and I had a large salad bowl, which was an array of ingredients including, falafel, olives, stuffed vine leaves, houmous, cucumber raitia, salad leaves, tomatoes, carrot sticks, kimchi (first time tried) and wholemeal pitta bread to accompany it all. It was all absolutely delicious and very filling. I did order a piece of peanut butter cheesecake but, as I simply couldn't eat another bite, the owner very kindly offered to put in a carton to take back. Can't recommend highly enough. Wonderful food, service and...

Whilst staying in Tintagel for the week we visited Vega cafe 3 times. The food is home made, really delicious and plentiful. We enjoyed the mac and cheese, curry bowl, lasagne and large mezze bowl. We also had the chocolate torte, peanut butter cheesecake and coffee. All were excellent and full of flavour, filling portions and value for money. We got some of the homemade fermented drinks and chutney, a sea glass bracelet and a book written by one of the owner's companion pigs where all profits go to animal rescue charities.🐖 Lovely cafe and would recommend to any vegans and vegan curious people visiting the area. Dogs are welcome here.

Popped in to see if they had anything gluten free and the lady in there was so helpful and friendly. I had some lovely homemade hummus with corn tortillas and olives and a recommendation to visit Rocky Valley and find the labrynth rock art. Thanks for the tip, it was well the visit and saved us from spending money at a more touristy site!
