Unfortunately I had to write without even getting a chance to buy any food items as we were sent out from the shop apparently we entered in by having take away pasties from their own shop , after buying couple of takeaway items my husband wanted to buy some soup and sandwich from the dine in , as soon as we entered in the shop one of the staffs started shouting at us in front of everyone, without even asking in an appropriate way’ you should not eat the takeaway inside ‘ despite my husband was trying to explain, still kept on shouting until we had to come out of the shop embarrassed.. We were so shocked , couldn’t even reply at the same time because we never expected this kind of behavior from the staff. After sometime, somehow I wanted to speak with the person about our feelings, she was not there though I did explain the concerns to another staff member who was kind enough to apologise on behalf After a traumatic family experience we came to Cornwall to get some relief from the pain . I felt so bad with this kind of attitude towards us , just thought of sharing so this wouldn’t happen to...

Has there been some massive price cut? Rahul Jani suggests these pasties are £9 but we paid around £3.50. I had the Lamb and Mint pasty and it was absolutely full of good sized chunks of lamb and totally delicious. I took a sachet of sauce to go with the pastry ends and crimping - absolutely did not need it as their pastry is so much thinner than others make it, I even got some filling with the end. The pasties are quite large and have as good a filling to pastry ratio as any we've ever had. My partner had cheese and chive and really enjoyed it but suggests using a stronger flavoured cheese. We also had cheese straws (as good as any we've had elsewhere and extremely cheesy!) and I had an eccles cake. Eccles cakes come in a very wide range and Pengenna's was as good as any I've ever had elsewhere, again very reasonably priced for it's size. Maybe things are different in the summer but in late February this was almost unbelievably good value food, particularly considering that it's directly opposite a major tourist attraction! Based only on our own experience I recommend them...

It would have been 3 stars were it not for us visiting Palmers in Tavistock on the day we left where we got the true pasty experience.

So we tried this one again, the one in Bude was poor but we thought we would give it another show, poor choice and a mistake we wont make again.

Well,, once again the 2 large "Traditional" pasties were anything but. They were large, excessively large absolutely crammed in fact, in order, Onions was the most prevalent, veg, grease and something that may or may not have been meat. It was so stuffed bits kept falling on the floor, if it had been shaped the way it’s supposed to be it would not have happened but the seam along the top has clearly been designed help keep the contents within and fooling the customers in to believing they are getting value.

Having had a truly perfect pasty for significantly less cost, this place is an abject failure, capitalising on a captive audience who knows no better, avoid, there are some other places that are less prominent that may be...

In many places, it is not uncommon to find restaurants and cafes right by famous tourist attractions would charge the customers a premium. Not at Pengenna here in Tintagel. Very comfy setting with a good range of the local delicacies - none more than the Cornish pasties and the cream tea. The portion is generous and the price is very reasonable. We were all quite hungry after walking up and down the castle so went for the pasties straight away and thus had to miss the cream tea. If you want both, arrive at the restaurant at lunch time, have the pasties, then off to the castle. When you "make it back", reward yourself the sweet or the savoury or both the cream tea as you surely should have room!! The restaurant also offers takeaway and has a "tea garden" for customers to prefer sitting outside, great for summer time.

Stopped by this bakery in Tintagel just before visiting the castle, and it was the perfect choice for a quick and delicious bite. The shop offers a great variety of pasties - including traditional, cheese, and vegetarian options. My partner went for the classic Cornish pasty and really enjoyed it, while I had the cheese and potato pasty, which was freshly made, warm, and very tasty. The pasties were nice and big, definitely filling enough to keep us going for our walk around Tintagel Castle. In addition to the pasties, there’s also a nice selection of pastries. I had a Portuguese custard tart that was very creamy and crisp, and my partner went for an apple pastry which he liked. Service was quick and friendly, even with a steady stream of customers. A great little spot for a traditional Cornish snack.

You come to Cornwall you have to try cornwall cornish . And we did this time stop in this place looking good from outside and we was get fresh straight from oven cornish . With cheese and chive and second one vegetarian one . But this time we have been disappointed from place we bought this cornish pastry. Top pastry was over cooked dry didn't enjoy like last time from land end . Place we bought. Vegetarian lack of seasoning bland veg nothing else no salt no pepper us minimum. Whit cheese it was little bit better because cheese give flavour to it sorry I would same go have look somewhere else if you wast for cornish pastry this is not place for it . Please like and fallow my reviews. Thanks
