The Drover Bar — Restaurant in Great Britain

This pub was the local for my Scottish uncles and my dad (Born in Stepney, London), when he was a carpenter/joiner, working for Glasgow Corporation, immediately after WWII. He had married my mum in 1947 and I was born the following year in Govan.

'The Spaniards', as it was always referred too, played host to many parties with my extended family of the Henderson, Dempsey and Mullholland divisions. My uncle, Robert Henderson always claimed it was the best pub in Glasgow...and he was a well known bar manager in the city.

Now I only have a few cousins left alive, but every visit to my birth country...always entails a visit to The Drover Bar. Super friendly...even to a guy with a Cockney accent. ...

Aivan ihana Bub. Henkilökunta on ystävällistä ja ammattitaitoista. Upea palvelu! Nälkä yllätti kesken iltaa ja baarimikko tilasi puolestamme pizzaa meille. Paikassa oli mukava istua ja viettää aikaa. Musiikki toiveita sai antaa. Paikassa on pieni Biljardipöytä, maksullinen. Naisten vessa oli pieni, mutta ajoi asiansa. Vessassa oli iso peili ovessa, joten siistiminen onnistui vaivatta. Bub on asuin alueella. Paikassa voi katsoa esimerkiksi jalkapallo otteluita isosta televisiosta.

Absolutely lovely Bub. The staff is friendly and professional. Great service! Hunger surprised us in the middle of the evening and the bartender ordered pizza for us. It was nice to sit and spend time there. Music could grant wishes. There is a small Billiard table, for a fee. The women's restroom was small, but did the trick. The toilet had a large mirror on the door, so cleaning was easy. Bub is in the residential area. There you can watch, for example, football matches on...
