I used to come here regularly a few years back when I lived closer and was rarely anything but impressed. Heard positive opinions again recently so decided to visit again. This was on Wed 2nd Feb between 17:30 & 20:30, which is always a good time of the day and year to gauge a restaurant from my experience in the trade.

I am glad to report that the same high standards seem to have been upheld.

The staff were really alert and attentive along with excellent customer service skills and a great up to date knowledge of the menu (I was informed of absent menu items without having to ask) - unusual and impressive. I was served by a few different staff and all were really professional & polite

My Dad ordered a rare Sirloin which was cooked perfectly (he is a stickler about too) and I had the double dirty stack with a fried egg, both were excellent pub food. I should also add that the 5 pints of San Miguel & 5 pints of Guinness we drank were lovely too, properly poured and fresh tasting too.

A few covers were also present during our time there and their food and service was great too, the sizzling skillets don't seem to ever get old! Thanks for a great evening amd will be recommending to friends locally and...

Always enjoyed The Iford Bridge Sizzler, and even with current restrictions during our visit (3rd October) it was still a good meal.

Firstly regarding COVID, I'd advise you book in advance on their website to secure a seat and don't forget your facemask because they will turn you away, as they should (the group in front of us did not appreciate this but the guy at the door handled it well). They have hand sanitizer and staff wearing masks with adequate distances between tables. It was a Saturday night and was busy when we visited but there was plenty of room for everyone.

You now order through your phone and each table is numbered with a QR code for their app, it worked well and we got our drinks very promptly and our food arrived in a reasonable time despite how busy it was.

The food was good as usual and not expensive, most options are under £10, and the menu still has a wide variety of choices.

Overall the staff we friendly and helpful and we had a nice time during our meal so I would definitely recommend visiting if you want a nice meal at a...

First impressions was that it was clean and welcoming. Soon seated and began to choose our meals. You make your order at the bar, again not a problem. Then the wait started. Our starters took over an hour to arrive. Not the greatest starters, but you get what you pay for as you get 3 starters for £9. So we continue with the meal and have another 50 minute wait. For what I can only say with regret in that I wish we hadn't bothered. We did complain and received a round of soft drinks, but still left annoyed and that it put a dampner on what until this point had been a good day. I'll let the picture of my son's meal do the talking rather than go on to much more. It was meant to be Toad in the hole, my son renamed it sausage in a cup. I can only hope they was having a bad night in the kitchen, but we won't be making a second visit...
