While the pub itself is fine, the clientele leaves much to be desired.
Halfway through a 10k walk, I decided it was high time to take a pit stop and have a beer. They have a wide selection of local ales on tap, and the person who served me was friendly.
I decided to take a seat outside, and that's when I had the unfortunate misadventure to meet "Steve", who immediately took insult to a young Indian male sitting outside. He "kindly" requested that I returned inside on my own. Not wishing to cause a scene, I duly obliged.
While I'm sure the mangement and bar itself is of a high standard, I was disappointed to meet Steve. I sincerely hope, for the sake of the future of the pub, fewer Steves frequent this establishment. In the time being, I would advise polite people to avoid this bar...
Read morePop in occasionally when I visit from Wolverhampton and I'll sit and watch a match in there as they have all the big games on at weekends and evenings and there's quite a few TVs or I'll just sit and chill with a quiet drink during the day, they've got a good selection of ales, lagers and ciders, I personally enjoy the Pravha and Staropramen on draft, roughly about £4.90 a pint, haven't tried the food so can't comment, bar snacks available crisps and nuts etc, large bar area with stools from street entrance and a huge seating area to the rear of pub with an aditional bar and a beer garden, I'd recommend this pub if you're into beer and live...

Horribly decorated, with a cold, hard floor, cold, hard seating and football memorabilia everywhere. As another reviewer has said, it does smell and not in a nice way. There is nowhere to sit outside - other than next to the busiest road in town - and inside is more than likely to be an experience ruined by televised sport blaring out from every nook and cranny. ...
