Have had many of great night in this pub in the last two years of having moved into the area. Have grown good friends with the locals and become part of the pool team now. The staff are friendly and accommodating and go above and beyond to make sure we have the sports on the drinks poured and the pool table at the ready. Libby , young tom , Liz , Jason and landlord Tom are exceptional and the way Tom has turned the pub around and pulled in the staff needed who do an amazing job and how he operates as a whole makes the whole pub and clientele feel at ease and make it an enjoyable environment to be around sets it aside from others I’ve attended. It does not do food but to attend for the sports or to play pool and congregate with friends or family with the added bonus of a welcome from Rex the dog is class and my children enjoy seeing the pooch and trying to play pool very much! Great pub with a good range of drinks, plenty of Tv's about so sport's are played on them. The pub has a Poole table and darts board (We advise you bring your own darts as only a few are available from behind the bar). The staff and landlady are very friendly and chatty to. There is an outside area to which does have overhead heating to. The overall decour and interior are some what a little run down and is in need of a refurbishment, however we have learnt that this may happen soon ie in 2019. Went into the pub last night. Sue to staff illness there was only one member of staff working. He was amazing! I think every last glass must have been used as it is always busy on a Friday. However the lone barman kept the glasses cleared ( and washed them all up) no one waited for any length of time for a drink. He was upbeat and friendly even though his head must have been spinning!
