This was an unexpected stop off in by Llangollen for a spot of food on our way to the Faraway Follies🍽️🍺😋 and in all fairness was our second choice of venue as didn't realise it was best to pre book. We were provided with a booking at very short notice and upon arrival promptly shown to our table. Our coats were hung up with water being delivered to our table. The service was good, all were polite and friendly and our food order flowed quickly from start to finish. I personally enjoyed listening to the mix up of 70s soft rock music playing in the background (reminiscing on my childhood years of my patents music era) aswell as the more modern genres. The food tasted so good that I didn't want to pour my gravy onto my plate and miss out on all the flavours and oh my we definately had no regrets in choosing the 'Knickerbocker Glory' and were so glad that we had one each and not sharing as it was so mouth watering with all the fruit & creamy flavours that we just couldn't stop the spoonfuls flowing until it was all gone. Inside the building it had a glass screened well and seperate glass screen cellar. Toilets and the whole of the building was airy and very clean. Staff were casually and smartly dressed and was great to see the kitchen staff in the open kitchen. We highly recommend you try out the Three Eagles when you call in by Llangollen as this is now our first choice for the next time we stop in by this lovely & lively little...
Read moreWe didnt have a very good experience unfortunately. We were staying in Llangollen and as it was rated a good place to eat we booked it. It was the first Saturday when pubs etc had to close by 10pm. We had origionally booked for 9pm as this was the earliest availability. When the new rules came in we were contacted and asked to come at 8.45pm. Sadly I waited 45 minutes for my drink, i ordered a double gin and soda and received just a glass of soda, when i called the waitress back she said there wasnt any of the gin i wanted left??? Dont understand why you would just send soda instead. I reordered another drink which turned up with our food at 9.45 pm. The food we ordered lamb burgers were dry but thankfully the delicious dressed salad helped it go down well. We had to rush our food and had no time for coffee or dessert due to closing at 10pm. We did complain to the young man who asked us to leave about our experience, sadly he gave no apology or even acknowledged that we were not satisfied. Our bill was a few pence short of £50 plus we had spent £25 in taxis which is more than fine for a nice experience. We wont be visiting again, i would rather go the local kebab shop, which im sure provides better service and...

Decided to make a last minute reservation on-line for our wedding anniversary. Easy process, even offers alternative times if your original booking can't be confirmed.
Arrived early for drinks and was directed to the top floor cocktail bar. Nice setting, little smaller than I imagined after seeing some photos. Bar staff were great and very patient with some of the other guests :)
Once our table was ready we moved to the ground floor and greeted by our host for the night, given menus and p;aced drinks orders..were advised on 1 or 2 things which weren't available, disappointingly no mussels :(
Nibbles arrived, awesome home made Pork Scratching.. nice.
Starters, Leek soup.. great..scone needed some help though..Carpaccio, was nice too, good flavour, just a little thick.
Mains were also great, burger was excellent and the risotto was lovely too, although the cheese was just a little overpowering.
For desert we went for cheese board, again this was good..
Overall, wonderful experience, made even better by the host and here team. Will be back for sure, just need to sample the Mussels to get your 5th...
