Ridiculous, Extremely Poor, Never visit this place

I was here for Dinner with my wife on 22nd Sep 2017. We entered the restaurant around 1945 and there were just 2 tables out of perhaps 30 odd, that were occupied by guests. The manager/owner was of South Asian origin. The moment we entered the manager rudely asked what do we want, later he repeatedly said 'ask me first before entering', I was taken aback as never has anyone asked like that in a restaurant as usually restaurant owners ask something like - 'how can I help you'. I thought this question might be related to him thinking if we wanted to Dine in or takeaway so I ignored it at first. Then I told him politely we are here for Dinner. He took us to a small table with just two seats and immediately left us to ourselves. Since we had jackets and my wife was carrying a rather heavy purse and the restaurant had more than 30 odd vacant tables, we decided instead to sit in the next table with four chairs. Once we were seated the manager shoutingly came towards us and rudely asked how come we sat on the table with four chairs, on this I politely pointed to the two occupied tables where couples were seated and those two also were four chaired tables. He then repeated his same sentence 'Ask me first' before moving. This really was testing my patience now, I raised my eyebrows and then shockingly the manager told us that we need to sit in the two chaired table or 'Ask me before changing once again'. I was getting angry which was evident on my face then to my surprise he directly said 'We can even go out of the restaurant'. I and my wife both expressed displeasure in front of the other guests pointing to the rudeness of the manager and went out of the restaurant. Even the guests sitting the restaurant already looked shocked.

In service industry the rule always is 'Customer is GOD', but seriously doubt if this resturant does any good business at all.

I am myself originally from Bombay (Mumbai) and can confirm that this manager cannot be from Bombay at all, but is just using the name as his restaurant name to attract White people to the restaurant. I strongly recommend everyone to never go to the restaurant ever especially my fellow Indians and South...

I ordered from Bombay Nite based on other google reviews. The delivery was very fast and the food was very hot on arrival. The chicken Korma was perfect, the combination of spices, coconut and chicken was delightful, just sweet enough with a mild warmth. The poppadums were crisp and the mango chutney was different to other indian mango chutney I have tasted, it was still sweet but this had a nice contrasting tang that stopped it being too sweet. The pillau rice had a trace of star anise which really made it aromatic with a very faint aniseed taste. The meat samosa was a nice crisp outside with a moist spicy hot meat filling that was delicious... (this was at the top of my spicy heat range but people who enjoy hotter curries will eats these easily). The meat naan (keema) was filling and was perfect for mopping up that creamy korma sauce.

My daughter had Prawn Ceylon that was packed with prawns, she couldn't eat it all and it was a medium to hot heat. Too hot for me, but I tasted the sauce and even through the heat I could taste the spices which, again, was delicious. She also had the pillau rice, a plain nan and 2 poppadums, the meal came with a free small salad and a dressing. Very enjoyable meal. I will try others to give comparisons but it will be difficult to beat the quality and service from...

We were staying locally in GY for a short visit over the weekend. We had just left the Hippodrome and needed to pick up something quickly as we wanted to eat in our apartment. We visited Bombay Nite after walking past it earlier that morning.

We were welcomed very warmly. We have all said it was the best curry we've ever had (and we've had a many from a variety of places). The flavour and spice was spot on! The two gentlemen who welcomed us were extremely friendly! They were also kind enough to give us two free drinks and popadoms; well, considering things with COVID and a loss of business, that took us by pleasant surprise and we were so thankful, a lovely touch and a great care for their customers. We were all so pleased with you!

When we return to Great Yarmouth, we will DEFINITELY be visiting you again for a sit-in meal. Thank...

Do you know that moment when you decide "you want a curry" and no imitation will do? I found myself on a late Sunday evening thinking this very thing. I had been told of this place so thought I would try it. I was overjoyed to discover it was "banquet night" so for a small fee you got meal starter and side for a great value price especially if on a budget. You did not have to have this option but I chose it. The food was beautiful and the staff although busy were attentive. The venue itself was nicely decorated and had a good atmosphere. There is parking outside but spaces might be limited however there are car parks nearby free after 4pm but check times as these can change (grey friars way and surrounding area) are the nearest. The place soon filled which says a lot for a place. I personally reccomend this place and look forward to returning.

We arrived on the spur of the moment. We were greeted with warming smiles and how are you. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. The music not to loud. The menu choice not to big. Starters we had, Chicken chaat, and a salmon dish, most excellent in taste and spice Mains. We had King prawns with garlic. Plenty of flavour and a thick rich sauce and 6 king prawns. I had Naga chicken tikka. Very spicy, large chunks of chicken and a tasty sauce. The staff were very quick to notice my partner was in desperate need of a cold drink, he arrived with iced cold water because she had tried my Naga 😅. They did say we could change my Naga if I wanted ( no chance I was enjoying it). The ambience was just right. Well done Fully recommended 👏

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff and good service, just the food is average and very brightly coloured, but good portions. So nothing to complain about but not delicious enough to return. We came for the Sunday night deal, but it is only worth it if you are going to eat a popodom, starter, main, vegetable side and either a Nann or rice. Then £9:95 is good, but they make their money back on the drinks! Some of our party only had a main and rice, and were still charged £9:95. To be fair the restaurant staff deducted the £2: extra charge for the prawn cocktail starter, because we didn't have everything we were intitled to.
