Whilst I understand the need to make sure everyone is kept safe at this time, the gentleman working there on the few occasions I’ve visited recently, seems to thoroughly enjoy barking social distancing instructions and takes his role of Starbucks COVID Police very seriously. Unfortunately this comes across as rude and patronising. All of this before you’ve even ordered a coffee! It’s really off putting. He could probably learn a lot from popping outside and listening to how the local banking staff are speaking to people as they queue to get inside. There’s a right way and a wrong way of informing people of the rules we all need to abide by at the moment So then he takes your order and I wait on the spot I’ve been told to wait on, only to be presented with my coffee by someone who clearly couldn’t care less... Read moreI'm reviewing as I'm always disappointed with Starcrooks but in Great Yarmouth there are few places you can get barista coffee. Most of their places lack atmosphere and are a bit sparse,unlike say Neros which tend to be more cosy and welcoming. This one was in a rather tired and struggling shopping centre. The staff forgot my croissant which I had to remind them about. Hardly a complicated order,2 coffees and a croissant but 3 staff couldn't handle it.
