I'll be completely honest, we went to this restaurant following glowing reviews and we were a little disappointed.

I felt that the service we received wasn't amazing and I wasn't overly impressed with the food either.

When we arrived, the waiter wasn't very welcoming and told us to choose where we wanted to sit, he brought us menus and told us where to find the specials and then didn't return for a while, when he did we ordered food and drink as we waited long enough that we had already decided our food order. For our whole stay we were not given table water like every other table and the waiter who served us wasn't very polite. It was difficult to get his attention and honestly, he wasnt very approachable, we felt like he wasn't in a very good mood!

The food was ok and it did come out very quickly, which was great, but the scallops were cold and the battered squid was a little burnt.

Once we had finished eating, the waiter took our plates away, we said we hadn't received a dish to which he responded rudely and abruptly 'oh really, well that's why I said are you done?'... surely they would know!! The kitchen confirmed our dishes were all sent, but when he came back over to confirm the dishes we ordered, there was one that definitely didn't come out, so he organised that. This dish then of course came much later then all our others, but at least he apologised. It wasn't removed from the bill or anything as a good will gesture, which to be honest is something I probably would have done.

At this point we also asked if we could order another drink, given we had no water and hadn't been offered another, we thought we would take this opportunity! When the waiter returned with a new drink, he took away my partner's drink which was still a quarter full! Again, we didn't quibble due to how the waiter was being.

They offered us a dessert menu and when we decided not to have a dessert they looked annoyed... strange. We didn't even get a thank you and goodbye when we left!

I won't be recommending this restaurant with the glowing reviews we had received about it and honestly very...

Promised a new, different experience in Guildford - the reality was very disappointing We were really looking forward to our first tapas bar experience in the U.K. having just spent 2 weeks in Andalusia. What a disappointment. Our server offered advice to order two dishes each to start and more if we wished after that. Had a nice bottle of red wine, first dish delivered. Some time later the second dish arrived. Had to wait a considerable time longer for dish number three to arrive. Dish number four? Never arrived despite us asking and it being promised within a further "6 or 7 minutes". We spent well over an hour in here for which we had 3 tapas and a bottle of wine. Pretty annoying to see other diners being served whilst we were left waiting around for food that never materialised. We gave up after that, paid and left. No apology for the missing fourth dish or lack of service, no thank you or we hope to see you again. Pretty atrocious to be honest. Not to be...

Ambience Fantastic venhe, lovely atmosphere in hidden location just off the high street.

Food This is where this restaurant falls to its knees. We ordered 9 dishes between the 4 of us and a couple of starters. The "spanish crisps" were literally Walkers Ready Salted crisps on a plate. The chorizo was average at best, althought its a difficult dish to make badly. The "special" pulpo was overcooked and tasteless and the scallops were simply awful. In short, avoid sea food! In fairness, the spanish omelette was more than satisfactory and the artichoke salad and croquettes were pleasant.

Service The young staff members were inexperienced but very kind and apologised profusely about the sea food. After highlighting the issues to them, they were more than helpful and struck the poor quality dishes off the bill.

Summary: Nice place for a dinner on a Saturday night... if you have never eaten...

The signage outside drawn us, came for Paella but unfortunately, not available on a Sunday approximately 1400 hrs, the waiter apologized, no available omelette and chicken so we settled for meatballs, calamari and scallops with breads. It is place worth visiting and it seems they have live Spanish guitarist from 7 PM Mondays onwards. We hope, our group of four would be able to taste what we missed today. We could bring in our drivers for a guitar entertainment :) Dinez Taxis and Airport Transfers Aldershot and Farnborough

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! I’ve been here 3 times and it’s been great every time. We ordered the croquettes, artichokes, squid, tomato bruschetta, pork shoulder and meatballs. It was all perfect, can’t even choose my favourite. The ambience is great, pretty and good lighting. Be warned though - it’s very expensive for a small plate of tapas. About £8.50 for four meatballs. You have to spend a lot to actually be full. I’m still peckish while writing this but have run out of money.
