Always loved kokoro, big portions and tasty food, but customer service hits the limits,I am by myself working in customer service, but sorry, your employee(as I guess a manager, she is always on the till and nobody reacted when she started yelling at us) has to have a disciplinary or to pass a training again.Always rude, always rushing you even when it’s not busy(speaking about 7-9 o’clock).Thursday the 27th of February I came after work to grab some food with my boyfriend, asked for main meal(rice w sweet and sour chicken) and asked for Katsu Chicken(the name of the side which cost 3.50£),arrogantly asked if we want a rice with it,we said that we want only katsu chicken and she started cutting chicken in regular portion for meal. After my boyfriend paid I noticed that chicken was 8.35 on the receipt and asked why it’s 8.35 instead of 3.50,after what your employee without any reason started getting angry and asked me why I am coming with attitude to her store and that I have to be more specific(just to let you know again,I am working by myself in customer service and I am always respectful to somebody who does this job). She was keep yelling at me that it’s my fault(even tho I didn’t even ask for the refund, just was curious),so my boyfriend had to interrupt her scream by explaining her job and pointing that she is always aggressive to customers, because we are buying from that store nearly every day,so she replied that she will better stop and told us to leave.Very sad that your employees can’t be trained properly and I have to face something like that, because on my place of work people were fired for customer...
Read moreKokoro has always been my go to takeaway place and I do not know what happened but their food has gone way too sweet. Their beef and chicken is literally biting into sugar. Its just an imitated Asian food for the western.
They used to be a good for their low price and ready made food catered in front of you and ready made sushi in the fridge so it was also time efficient. But since their increase in price and reduced portion sizes it has lost its value compared to other new restaurants and takeaway shops near by.
10 minutes wait and with paying a little more can get you a bigger portion freshly cooked for your order and better flavour at Hanki with a lot more Korean food options which is just upper side of the high street for example. And better sushi takeaway from Sushi Nara although there is a bit of a price difference.
I guess people have different preferences in their food such as faster and cheaper food or fresh and better food, so Kokoro still do work but now I feel they are falling behind the trend as the standards of people are starting to...

What really stands out is the kindness and efficiency of the staff. They’re always welcoming, friendly, and go above and beyond to ensure a great experience, even during busy times. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, making it excellent value for money.
While there can be slight variations in quality during peak hours, the overall experience is consistently excellent. Kokoro is a reliable and friendly choice for anyone craving Japanese cuisine...
