Have always loved eating here, but for the 2nd time we have been treated badly by the staff, including the owner. We came in and it was reasonably busy, however, we were offered a table by an elderly lady, only to be told, loudly by a member of staff that we couldn’t take the table and were basically evicted. No where else in Harborough has this policy of not being allowed to take a table until you have ordered your food. Spoke to the owners wife previously who told us that this shouldn’t be done and apologised profusely, only for it to happen again. Recently since I become a mom I do purchase a bigger quantity of coffee grounds at once as it is hard to leave home with a new born. First time when I bough a bigger quantity of coffee grounds the service was lovely and the grounds were just perfect. This last time however, the attitude of the lady who served me was off when she heard the quantity of the coffee grounds I needed(500gr). Also, some great salami and other meats plus some interesting salad options, loved the marinaded artichoke hearts.
