Louisa's Place — Restaurant in Harborough

I assume the manager is the one who come over but I took my friend and her partner here and it’s somewhere we have always enjoyed but they had a milkshake and didn’t enjoy the taste (wasn’t nice) we then asked for the drinks to be swapped which they did

We went to pay for our drinks after being told by a lady they wasn’t charging for the milkshake (due to the horrible taste ) then tried charging us

When I questioned this the manager or someone acting in charge was super rude and telling me How he tasted it and it was fine? Do you consider this as good customer service Just because you like the taste of it doesn’t mean everyone will , It didn’t even have any flavour

Lastly he continued to argue with me and be rude I used to recommend this place all the time but no longer will I

EDIT: The venue is under a current planning application to close and convert to residential flats - please comment via HDC portal to object and save one of our local independent, much-needed venues!

I love this plce, and always take friends there when they come to visit. There are some amazing cocktails (possibly the only dedicated bar venue for them in town) and the vibe is friendly, modern and cosy. There were one or two staff members who during the pandemic were ill-mannered (questioning my friend on her exemption from fave coverings what her 'proof' was! And then instead sitting us by the open door all evening, freezing cold! Given you take your mask off when in the venue anyway?!), but otherwise staff are lovely. Service is prompt and reliable. Popped in for a coffee today, and it was good! Latte's we've found to be "cool" in other vendors shops, but not here where it was hot and indeed steaming to at least somedegree - full marks to the team! Didn't have food, so I can't comment, other than saying what I saw going out to other guests looked fine, but let's let them pop feedback on about that. The only let down is the toilet (gents), which only had one sink and one hand-drier, both of which are as you come through the door. Little that can be done. I do appreciate that, but I thought I'd mention. On the whole, I'd recommend popping in and trying it out...
