Ordered a meal box, the meat was slimy, undercooked and smelt off! Rang up and asked for something else..... I was demanded to pay for delivery!!!! And when I said I wanted a refund.... the cheek of a woman said I’m not allowed one as she thinks her food is good! CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT! Never been spoken down to from any restaurant staff or takeaway staff as much as I have tonight.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS TAKEAWAY. If you want slop and then to be told you are wrong or try to get charged for delivery! Vile food! Terrible customer service and I will make sure anyone I know, will never order from Shanghai Way! Including people I know who live near the takeaway as well!
Sort it out! And I’m debating on calling trading standards as well! And possibly the police as they are withholding money for something that was purchased that was beyond...

Placed our order and an hour later it hadn’t arrived. Not a massive order. Called them and was told ‘it’s on its way’. A bit like when a taxi company says it’s just turning into your road. Ten minutes later, no sign so called again. Then called again. It did arrive quite soon after that. We had the mixed starter. I’ve never had prawn toast without prawns nor spring rolls with virtually no filling and undercooked. To be fair the dumplings were good but the big spring roll was also undercooked. Read moreHaving used Shanghai Way for my takeaways for many years, I am disappointed, and quite frankly astounded, at the experience I have had this evening.
Following my delivery, I called to inform them that my vegetarian daughter had found (and taken a bite out of) a piece of chicken in her sweet and sour vegetables and was consequently extremely distressed. I said I appreciated that nothing could be done but wanted them to be aware so they could be more careful in future.
They then sent a 'manager' to my house, who proceeded to accuse us of mixing the vegetables with my son's chicken ball meat. At no time were the two meals anywhere near each other and the cross-contamination can only have happened at their establishment. I do not appreciate being...
