If your looking for an authentic Italian experience then this place will scratch the itch.

Booked dinner for 2 the day before and was able to accommodate, when we arrived we were warmly greeted by our server but I never knew their name as they never introduced themselves nor were they wearing a name badge. Nonetheless we ordered drinks and looked through the menu (picture attached) small and simple menu but still provided a good variety, our dish’s were calamari and frittura di mare to start which were plenty full and delicious with very little time between ordering and receiving. Same goes for our mains which were received quickly after starters were cleared, cannelloni & paccheri di salsiccia and again were very tasty.

Typically Italian, fresh beautifully cooked (Al dente pasta), tasty, and very generously portioned (we had to take the leftovers home)

All in all it was a lovely experience and we will be coming back again.

Nice little touches -

Specials menu separate from the main menu.

the decor was modern but quite shabby chic at the same time.

There is a micro shop in the restaurant selling pasta, sugo, panettone, sweets and many other items including what looked to be a deli.

The owner of this establishment is brothers with the owner from Bella Vista so the food and experience is very much resembled here.

Top tip - if your really hungry then go for starters and mains (you might be able to squeeze in a dessert) if not then mains & dessert...

Father's Day 18 June 2023

Just passing by looking for a quick bite for lunch. Kerbside appeal was impressive and the menu backed up our initial impression. 3 adults and 1 child (aged 6) all with varying appetites were well and truly sated. 1 x Scallops served with pea puree and beautifully presented 1 x Spaghetti Vongole that was cooked to perfection 1 x Panini filled to excess with bresaola, cream cheese & rocket. Bread nicely crisp on the top, soft and warm in the middle. And lastly, 1 x meatballs which came as a pair and were huge! The little chap who had the pleasure of devouring them left a plate of fresh air. Garlic bread on the side was super tasty. Everything was obviously freshly cooked, good quality and great value.

Waiting staff were lovely - polite, attentive and friendly, and very efficient. We were lucky to be served the meatballs by the chef himself - thank you, it was a lovely gesture and we very much appreciated it. A nice touch and totally unexpected.

The deli itself is a foodie's dream (an Aladdin's Cave) with an array of wonderful foodstuffs, handy for stocking up your own larder.

So, a thumbs up all round and wishing all at La Delizia continued success for the future. Will return and...

A Italian sunbeam in the middle of Hastings! Very close to the famous fishing harbour zone. Not very huge but it has everything for what is Italy famous for! Inside just 6 but very nice tables (so cosy!), many dishes also to take away. We had two paninies filled with Italian sausage and spinach! Very tasty! And they sell also food, for example gelato, prosciutto, salami, fresh mozzarella and burrata! And spirits like this godly lemon liquour 'Limoncello' and a lot of other Italian food. Go and discover it, it's worth it. The staff like the boss is very friendly, who is the brother of the owner of this phantastic restaurant 'La Bella Vista' at St.Leonards. It was his recommendation to go here and visit his brother's restaurant 'La Delizia' ! Thanks for this! Grazie...

As we dragged ourselves back to the car after a very long walk along the beach from the outside this was the only appealing place to sit down and recharge. The inside was small, somewhat messy I wouldn’t feel comfortable eating a meal there, but it also had charm and warmth. And the few cakes on offer were pricy but looked fresh and I have to say the chocolate cake was delicious. But the tea pots were very tiny and hardly any tea 🫥 The hampers were an unexpected nice gift to take back as souvenir. Overall the staff were friendly and helpful when I ordered at the till, and just want add when the weather is nice and you’re lucky to find a table outside you can feel you’re on holiday.
