Absolutely first class In all area's. My wife and I love to seek out interesting and exciting place's to eat. We love seafood especially when the chef is as talented and passionate as we experienced this afternoon. Large, perfection, scallops beautifully presented and pan fried with care. Main course; seared salmon fillet with seasonal vegetables with a creamy hollandaise sauce. Perfection 🥰 We felt full, but then our waitress offered us a selection of delicious desserts..ok one to share. A lovely light Eaton mess to finish us off. We will be back! So worth the trip. (Will need to book in advance for evening meal).

Outstanding little private restaurant. Service was impeccable and the chalkboard menu did not disappoint (I've every faith it changes with the days catch!). We had scallops and potted crab to start, rack of lamb and hake for mains and panna cotta and chocolate torte for dessert. Everything was delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough, but BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL. It's a very small place (25 covers as far as I could tell) so I can imagine walk ins get lucky very often. The bill was not cheap, but we were happy to pay for the quality we received. We'll be back for sure.

Great food. We all loved pretty much everything we tried. The smoked seafood platter was a great way to start the meal, the cockles were delicious and I loved my seafood linguine and pannacotta. However we all agreed that the ceviche was way below standard. Several things were wrong with that dish. The fish was too thick, the sauce was too sweet and it was missing the citrusy and spicy flavour that is present in a ceviche. The lack of the leche the tigre unbalanced the dish. It was the only dish we actually did not finish.

Let's be honest. 5 stars are for perfect service and faultless food, elegant tables and excellent ambience This little place is a bit echoey (no soft furnishings hanging about), so a little loud, plain tables and simple chalkboard list of starters and mains, next to a concise wine list. With 26 covers, it is not large. Despite being alone, the waiter coped admirably as he dashed about. He even bandied some banter about whilst bustling his way here and there. We decided late on on our journey home we fancied some fish so decided on Hastings, never having been there before. This restaurant is a little treasure in an unprepossessing street. Food good, Chef good, choice good, service good. A very lucky find for us strangers. Already...

Hastings is spoiled by this wonderful little place. We walked past by chance and were treated to food that surprised with its perfection at every turn. I make no apologies for going to a seafood restaurant on the coast and ordering two courses of meat. I started with bone marrow which was fantastic, but would have been elevated by more enthusiastic seasoning - it may just be me, but I like my marrow saltier. The lamb I had was cooked to perfection, with a beautiful gravy to dip veg in. The potted crab was also delicious, and yes, they know how to cook fish. Of course. Compliments...
