Swerve like the plague!!!! Awful service and even worse food. Ordered a bacon egg and sausage sandwich (which came out wrong the first time of asking). The crust of the bread was so tough I could only eat the middle part of the sandwich, of which I only managed to force myself to eat one half. The inside tasted nothing like what it was, tasted rubbery and artificial. Then went to pay and said i am not paying for the sandwich I will only pay for my chips that were mediocre, the chef proceeded to shout at me and my friend in the shop where there were other customers telling us we have to pay or he will call the police. He said he "knows what type of people we are, come on man pay". I was rather confused by this comment as if he knew what sort of person I am, then he would know I pay for everything I buy :). The arguing then continued with him telling me that the sandwich was perfect, not one apology from any of the staff who acted like an audience during this encounter. Ended up giving them £2 for both meals (which were the same) and was told not to ever come back. So if you want good service, people who understand English, nice food and a friendly atmosphere DO NOT VISIT DURAN'S ON BUSHEY...
Read moreBit of a mixed review I've only been here once the experience I had was moody staff who. Seemed like one wrong word or complaint they would burst at the seams and shout the waitress was ok but nothing to write home about the food is mediocre I have to agree they claim a rich heritage but there is nothing authentic or unique to there produce and how it's made not fresh at all bought produce thats manufactured like the veggie burger which was lame idea of what a veggie burger is yes they are overpriced for what you get and the portions are ridiculous you don't get enough for what they expect you to pay the interior is nice and done well I feel it's trying to aspire to something it isn't yet but before it gets there it has to change its biz strategy your food needs to be fresh and authentic to your supposed heritage of Duran big cope out your conning your customers I think there a close knit of family they clearly can't stand each other service was quick but when your just cooking stuff from a box or tin then it...

Bacon is a nice thick rasher, mushrooms were teeny weeny possibly tinned and dunked in the deep fryer, so a bit sad versus some pukka fried ones with a tiny bit of butter... but I can understand why, even though it kinda removed any mushroom flavour from the wee bisected buttons. The sausage is a cereal filled yuck that I finished out of politeness. This one item is the second barometer of breakfast quality after bacon. And that is excellent, so its a pity this foodservice horror is served out of the freezer. Even the high fat ones at Premier Inn and hotel breakfasts and Toby alike, are way better, without needing to be a high meat content and costly thing. Lovely place, will order just bacon and eggs next breakfast though. Decor is a delight...hollywood icons and odd...
