Amazing steak. I went to try the huge 16oz steak with all trimmings during midweek. Specifically as the offer of 33% off sounded too good to pass up. Aaron was my server and he was very good and helpful not just to me but everyone else around too. The meal itself was delicious. Steak was cooked medium as recommended on the menu and when it came, the plate looked amazing. The size of the steak looked scrumptious and I also had the beef dripping gravy. Chips were the right portion as were the other side accompliments. For just £15 this was a worthwhile meal and even more so as in conjunction with another offer (using a specific credit card) I'll get a further % refunded. Will definately be going back this meal. Miller & Carter steakhouse is not too far away from the Potters Bar Harvester and I think they can give them a little competition. Don't forget that with all main meals there is unlimited salad too. The restaurant wasn't overly busy for a Thursday afternoon, but service was a little slow. This was the only thing that stopped me giving a 5* review. Also went on evening of 19th Sept with family for their desserts. Kids loved them. Aaron gave full service again.

I recently stopped by the Harvester in Potters Bar for lunch, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The staff were fantastic—warm, friendly, and eager to make sure everything was just right. They added a personal touch that really made the experience special. The restaurant’s interior is beautifully designed, with a cosy, welcoming vibe that wraps you in comfort the moment you step inside. And the garden! It’s like a hidden gem—absolutely picturesque, offering the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal surrounded by nature. The food itself was spot on—fresh, bursting with flavour, and deeply comforting. Each dish felt like it was crafted with care, and you could really taste the quality in every bite. I’d wholeheartedly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a memorable meal in a lovely setting. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

We had a family meeting for dinner after visiting our dad's grave as it was the 10th year of his passing. We booked a table for 9 people an asked if we could do split tabs for the table. The waiter said he couldn't do split tabs however he will split the bill when we ask to pay. The burger we ordered we asked no salad however when it came to the table it was plain, no cheese no sauce. We told the waiter and he took it back but it was frustrating that the person who ordered the burger had to wait whilst others were eating. I ordered the chicken flat bread and that was dry as anything. When we came to pay I gave the waiter the 25% discount I got from the app and he said it as it working and he asked me to read the T&Cs to him which I did. He then went and spoke to the manager and they said it wouldn't make a difference. I told them yes it would if there is 6 mains, starters and 3 kids meals. I asked to speak to the manager and she told me she would try again and had a bit of an attitude. We then got the 25% off but the bill was all together and not separated. So I had to separate them and it was time consuming and frustrating. It put a spoiler on the dinner and we left unhappy. I don't think I would visit this restaurant again. I usually go to the one in ponders end, navigation Inn and I've never had a problem at that restaurant. Unfortunately as the family live far and wide we went to the closest one to the cemetery which was at potters bar. I would appreciate if someone could email me back...

I've dined at this restaurant a couple of times, and had the same consistent experience. While the food is generally decent, the service is consistently lacking. It's clear that the place is severely understaffed, which really impacts the overall experience. The staff that are there do their best, but they’re clearly stretched thin, leading to long wait times and a lack of personalised service.

On my last visit, it took ages just to place our order and receive our food and drinks. The servers are friendly but overwhelmed, and it’s disappointing to see such potential wasted due to poor management. This place could be great with proper staffing, but as it stands, the service just isn't up to par.

Would love to return if things improve, but until then, it’s hard to justify coming back. I don’t normally write reviews, but it’s clear something has to change here.

EDITED TO RESPOND TO THE MANAGEMENT: Unfortunately, the management responded with an automated message (it is similar to all the other negative reviews), which only confirms my concerns. If they had actually read my review, they would know that this isn't a one-off experience—I've mentioned that it's been a consistent issue across multiple visits.

It's disappointing to see that the management doesn't seem to care about addressing these problems and appears unwilling to make the necessary changes. Until they start taking feedback seriously, I can't see the situation improving, and I wouldn't recommend this place unless...

1st visit and I'm sure it won't be the last. Reception and being able to accommodate us was 1st Class. Full restaurant, but asked us to either eat in the bar OR have a drink and seat there and as soon as one became available we'd be seated. Within 20mins we were. Friendly service and extremely accommodating, the front of house were rather let down by the kitchen. Granted it was full and very busy, but the food wasn't as good as it should have been. On another night I'd have sent the steak back, but we'd waited soooo long for the food, I could have eaten my own leg, and there'd be no guarantee as to how much longer we'd have to wait for the replacement, let alone what trouble that would have caused in further delaying fellow guests. Half an edible steak would have to do, and we were hungry. Dessert was just not an option time wise. Chicken Bowl was adequate, super large salad with a few steroids of chicken atop, which apparently were very tasty indeed, just 'lost' in a sea of lettuce - basically what we'd munched through for 45 mins whilst charging and waiting....... Don't get me wrong, overall it was great, there's more to a dining experience than just the food, and we couldn't fault the effort made to fit us in, on an already busy restaurant, resurrected as we were 'walk ins', but the kitchen was overawed by the numbers and it showed on the attentiveness to the cooking time and quality of what was served. On a quieter day I'm sure that would have matched the...
